You think that name was the result of a merger and the respected clubs just couldn't agree on a simple name change so just said "stuff it" combine the two names that'll do.

Yeah it was a merger. Some creativity and common sense is required.

Real Chivas FC North and Central QLD and Holiday islands Magpies Crusaders City Town SC

I've always enjoyed the amateurish coverage of the FFA Cup on the live streams you get from Fox Sports.

But they've brought that amateurish coverage to the main channel tonight, and it's an abomination. You can't possibly show this on a major cable tv channel can you?

The great news is that we get all the different streams on Kayo as well, which I was a bit concerned about.

Oh yes they can apparently. Appreciate the effort that they are going to to keep everyone updated, but pretty frustrating when the action is being interrupted every 5 minutes to see a replay of a goal scored in another game.

Leave all that for the post game and let the viewer focus on the designated game on TV.

I actually quite like the around the grounds goals, it gives it a cup vibe and a point of difference. And on nights like tonight you're getting a great sense of the drama from the St George/United game.

I was referring to the commentary and the lack of cameras more than anything. Cornthwaite can't possibly being paid for his opinions. I've heard better, more rational and more well spoken analysis from the drunks at Swan Streets South End. Over the first half, the extent of Spped's knowledge of City kind of exposed that neither Speed nor Cornthwaite knew the first thing about Campbelltown's players - not even their names.

I'm a little shattered that the Mariners made it through - their meme-level failures in the FFA Cup vs state league opposition actually kind of gave the Cup some credibility.

Agreed, doesn't feel quite right. Maybe a lesson for the Maitland social media team to not give your opponents extra incentive to want to knock you out.
