Hird nailed to the cross with "style and class" and assured of a multiple year deal when he rises again from his 12 month stress-free holiday.
Bomber Thompson slapped on the wrist.

The supporters are going to be asked to help make up for the money lost to fines and legal costs.
The players won't be joined by any new top-tier talent for the next two years, making it harder for them to achieve any real success.

Doesn't sit well with me.

Hardly worthy of posting. Informing everyone when he's sober now that's thread worthy. :D

Great footage before on AFL360 of him sleeping it off in the gutter

I've also become extremely pissed off at those who are responsible for this shit.

At this point in time I hope Hird never gets the privilege of coaching in the AFL again... Yes, even at Essendon it's a privilege, look no further than Kevin Sheedy who coached that club for 26 years.

It's a disgrace that Little was candidly open about arranging Hird's return in 2015. Why would you want to bring part of the pestilence back to the club? Would you really want to play for a coach who put your health at risk and didn't have YOU in their best interests? That's how I see it at the moment.

Nor does it sit well with me TDK.
Excellent post. :thumbsu:

Hird will be more than okay.
I can't believe he is able to roll in and coach for the finals (if they make it).
A year should be the whole year. Simple really.

I don't think AFL HQ delivered justice.

I think the AFL clubs need to start delivering their own rightful justice!!!

EFC players may want to vent and this is their last game to do so this year after being stripped of finals.

But RFC players and fans IMO have not been compensated for the crap shoved in our faces on the screen this year thanks to certain EFC morons.

I think it is time we hammered them and earn our self respect that, unlike AFL HQ, we will not be bent over and abused!!!

First think I would do is check with the validity of this match versus EFC given EFC can't get points from a legal perspective regarding its validity regarding players penalties etc.. like MRP.

If we get a green light, no reprecussions, let the war begin on Saturday. I would bring in some heavy hitters into the team to to shake them up a bit!!!

That interview with Bomber on FC was frightening. It showed the absolute rubbish that those arse clowns have been throwing at the AFL to get off... OMG. That was the most embarrassing interview ever and how Essendon, after the poor PR theyve had, approved him speaking and going on air showed how bad that football club is still being run.

FRIGHTENING. That was horrific. If l was a parent and l saw he was going to coach next year, l'd be pulling my son out of there now. Horrific.

The Essendon Board is PURE Genius right now... That "R" bloke has been sucking the Hexaralin out of Hirdy... here is a sample:

  1. They are already well down the path to attracting some "serious" free-agency recruits to the club
  2. Pears, and Kavanagh are worth late first rounders and Pears/Gumby are worth second rounders... and clubs "are circling"!!
  3. Draft picks dont hurt that much and we can easily adopt the Geelong/Sydney model
  4. Players cant wait to play for Hirdy again.
  5. They are looking forward to having Goodwin coaching on Saturday
  6. Exploiting free agency will be easy!
Overlooking the fact, no club will trade with them. New draftees will no doubt express reservations in being drafted there and ASADA have not given any of them the all clear.
LOL at how they are rating their players. Can we invite Mr.R in for an interview. Would be gold.

I thought "a year" would've implied a season. I'd be pissed off if he came back late August next year and the cheats manage to make finals.

sits fine with me, can't me just keep our noses out of essendons business and concentrate on our finals campaign and beyond, one of our rivals has been weakened and that good enuff for me, no need to sink the boots in, we have not been perfect angels in that area either.

Pretty much the way I see it too. Shows how irresponsible that club is if they have re-signed him.

I think the player fallout could have a bearing on that. You only need that one sheep to part from the flock and watch them all follow.

Champion of the game or not the only way Essendon can truly move forward is a clean out of ANYONE involved in the saga and starting a fresh.

I don't think we could fathom the amount of brainwashing that must be going on inside the walls of that club. Those blokes singing that song, demanding Hird join in last week was a real eye opener for me. If those blokes are pissed at Hird and the club for what was done to them then they didn't show it the other night.

Sad :(

Bombers VFL side wont be playing finals. VFL to be meeting Essendon today and its expected they will be informed that their also gone.
Thought it was reported last night they would be ok to play finals
