Nope. We'll want 6 and no future 1st. There are a number of WA players coming through the draft this year that will go first round or early 2nd that we will have our eyes on. We will want to head to the draft with at least one top 10 pick.
That's my point. You could keep pick 8 and trade a later first for Neale. If all you get for Cerra is pick 6 you'll lose that and 8 for Neale.

I don't see any scenario where we accept only pick 6 for Cerra or Brisbane accept a later first for Lachie.

Two firsts for Cerra but not top 10. Now hold 3 firsts.
2 of those for Neale

Finish the trade period with pick 8 and Neale for Cerra. Good outcome?

No. Not by a long shot and from what I can see from our board, it is a similar feeling. To be honest, I loved him when he was here but I don't want him back.

Yeah fair point. I don't think he is worth giving up two top 10 picks for. That would be more than you got for him and he is what 3 years older now?

Also wonder whether the Lions want to load up on picks or players considering where they sit. Do they take a short term hit and load up on young talent? They're not an old list so could so this would make sense. Don't think there'll be anyone they can bring in to replace Neale overnight.

You would think that a Victorian‘s first move from an Interstate club would be back to Victoria? Especially during Covid.
29yo with one big payday left may choose a club in the window with cash to burn.

Didn’t stop Daniher. Other players also moved from home states to play.
Hmm…Covid free top four side Brisbane? Or Covid rampant lowly disorganised Vic Blues?

He was moving from Victoria though? Evidently wanted to leave. If Parker leaves us I would think he'd only be interested in going to Vic.

He’d have more options with Victoria having 10 clubs. I get where you are coming from though.

Yes, he could choose Carlton. He could also choose out of another 9 clubs with money to spend.

Crazy, Selwood is one of the first players I have a clear memory of debuting (I didn't watch a heap of footy in 06 league-wide), still going strong. If he plays on past next year reckon he's a shot at 400.

Kind of remarkable to think that prior to the 2014 QF and SF losses for Geelong, Joel Selwood had only been involved in two back to back losses.

One quote from Tom Browne:

”My contacts are abuzz with a theory, that at least in an indicative sense, the Suns with AFL support have put an offer to Alastair Clarkson," Browne said.“

Why does he continue to do this to himself? 😂

FML I am starting to think (or should I say get a vibe) that Geelong will beat Melbourne.

And no, I am not doing a reverse jinx cause I dislike Geelong, I have this uncanny gut feeling that The Dees will get stage fright (they are still mostly a very young team) and the experienced and wiser heads of The Cats will prevail.

The Dees time will come, but i just feel not this year ugh.

Probe me wrong Melbourne, prove me wrong.
