...needs to be swung. Merenda is not doing enough, Embly needs to finish better. Our backline also needs a look into. Cant put my finger on it but there seems to be a deficiency there. Glass needs to be more accountable - seems to be outbodied too much.

How good is Judd. Its not favourable that our side leaves this 18 year old with such a burden of the workload.

Chambers was also very good.

Who are West Coast's tall forwards besides Wilson?...

We have a rather unique forward structure. Wilson is the tallest player for us in the forward line and we usually have Phil Matera and either Cousins/Wirrpunda/Williams roving in the pockets. Then on the half forward line there is Gaspar (who got injured today) and usually Embley, Williams (if he aint forward pocket) and sometimes Haynes. Most of our goals come from running midfielders. I'll dig up an updated thread in a minute to show you.

Do you think thats going to work for long? Are there other options coming up? It seems to cause nasty turnovers or hopeful shots at goal when your midfielders meet pressure along the half back line.

The team is going quite well, i don't see the need to "swing the axe". Make a few adjustments as Milli and Fido will be brought in, but confidence must be shown in youngsters such as Munro, Haynes, Embley, etc. If Woosha starts dumping or benching players because they played 1-2 bad games, he will be doing exactly what KJ was, and that is destroying the players confidence.

We still have Sierrakowski who is coming back from injury and also Gardiner when he plays at HF. McDougall and Hansen are playing well in the WAFL but are at least 2 to 3 years away from making any significant impact at AFL level.

I'd forgotten Hansen and Sierakowski. Fair enough then.

It really is time for Sierakowski to get a run at CHF, since Wilson is our only tall option, opposition sides can afford to slot a player in his path and expect to rebound out of defence

Siera could make a huge difference to Wilson by making the opposition play another tall defender on him

Haynes today didnt look too bad i thought and Munro is worth keeping in the line up for another game or two. Embley however has had a couple of shockers in a row and if Taylor can get dropped then maybe its time Embley got dropped to WAFL to make way for Sierra

No need for an axe - maybe a scalpel.

Phil Matera's served his two matches and I could see him coming in as a straight swap for Merenda.

We should only bring back McIntosh if he is fit and will last the game (which I doubt after only 2 weeks off).

Beyond that, it probably depends on injuries and who is fit to play. If we're a big man short, Sierakowski might get a game. Hopefully we'll welcome Wirrapunda back, perhaps instead of Embley. Probably a bit harsh to drop Haynes or Munro after one game.

North have dangerous small forwards and midfield runners, so I see Green, Wooden and even Banfield all keeping their places.

Merenda should be dropped....just isnt doing enough. Matera is due back (thank god) against the Roos so a simple swap between the two would be good. Embly needs to stay he wont find consistency if he isnt getting games consistently. The thing with Embly is that he does seem to get a lot of it but just doesnt take his opportunities...he could have easily ended the game with 2 or 3 goals today but he just couldnt finish.

Munro is tiny! But i thought he played quite well as did Haynes. We were a bit short handed today with Gaspar, Jako, Kerr all getting injured. Kerr and Jako returned but im not sure if Jakovich and Gaspar will come up for next week?

About time we dropped Judd...he just cant cut it at AFL level :D
