How is what Strauss did any different to what Hauritz did?

Both thought they caught the ball cleanly and claimed the catch.

In one case the umpires referred it upstairs, in the other they didn't. That isn't Strauss' fault.

Yes it is, he was so late on placing his fingers around the ball, not under it, he should have said he wasn't sure.

The Poms were so intense in appealing for things that they knew wasn't out it was impossible to acknowledge otherwise that they wanted to win at any cost.

If it was reverse and the Aussies did it, could you imagine the carryon about the ugly unsporting Aussie.

Any Australian whining about England's win at all costs lack of spirit attitude needs to take a think about whether they want to throw rocks out of our ginormous glass house.

If anything the lords test reminded me of the last India test at the SCG where the Indians just got ****ed over time and time again, feels a lot worse when the stick's up the other arse

Just hope that when this comes back and bites them on the bum it's at the worst possible time

1 or2 bad descions ok but 4 and to our top 4 in the batting order in one test is a bit over the top and we only lost by a 100 or so.

Kevin Pieterson has been ruled out of the rest of the ashes series!

This is good for Australia's chances but bad for the spectacle of the series because you want to see the best players on either side fit and playing well. This also means that Ravi Bopara, an absolute hack of the highest order, will (undeservedly) keep his spot.

I hope we bring in Stuart Clark for the 3rd test. He bowls an immaculate length and will trouble all of England's batsmen.

So great last day ahead as far as Australian cricket goes

HUSSEY should be batting for his spot so he would want to bat the first session at least if not longer,however even if he does fail our selectors are not capable of making tough correct decisions.

Hopefully we get out of this with a draw but something tells me that cause we are not capable of batting for long periods if we turn over to watch footy classified we will miss the end of the test.

Besides if we lose this the suspense will be over , draw here and we go into the last 2 tests with false hope.

and if we do get out of this with a draw lets hope we pick the right team for the next test

Replace Lee with Siddle and you've got yourself a deal. I really wish they'd taken Ferguson over with them as backup, in the event (which has transpired) that Hussey's poor form continued. If you want to talk about selectors handing out golden tickets, then he's the poster boy right now. He sits 11th on the list of run scorers for the series, with an average of just 29.
