Did anyone else see the crowd shot during the anthem - a woman started waving to the camera and the dude next to her (husband?) gave her the elbow. That was classic.

Boomer's hair on Saturday reminded me a bit of Pat Rafter a few years back when he cut his hair short, he had a little white spot in about the same place.

I'm still impressed that North had enough fans at the Brewery to start up their song!!

Got a sms from Hooley at the BF Meet up "WTF ru ?" sorta

Was in line signing in to a club ( nieces 21st function had to give a speech despite whinging couldn't get out of it!!) Tried to SMS back whilst in line but got caught trying to sign in at send time. ( I now see it didn't work! Sorry MsBoob)

About an hour later , then told friends I was going for a leak... but really sussing out where the TV was and making sure the game was on! Just had screamed at a bar tender to turn up the bloody volume please!!! He had just arrived... then....Shotties.... rang "WTF ru !!!! Corp"... giving me a hard time! Making me feel more miserable!!!

The bartender had just raised the volume... but I just realised oh shit Hooleyt and Shotties could probably now hear the TV??? ( and think I was at home) So I ran away.... into the pokies area... did you hear that?

Long essssplaination to Shotties ( we have never met) .... but eventually he accepted excuse and apology. I sauntered back to check out kick off!

The eff'n bartender had turned down the volume again!!!!

Took me ages to esssplain to him why I ran away!!!

I've lost count of the number of times I've chosen a seemingly opportune moment to send an SMS while waiting in line, the line starts to move or it's my turn and I'm frantically trying to finish off my SMS/hit send yet still keep the line moving without holding anyone up...so I know exactly what you mean!

Jared Crouch, bless him, was caught by the cameras having a wry smile, and I'm glad I wasn't standing opposite him, as sometimes one little s****** is enough to set you right off. I ruined many a Sunday church visit for my dear ol' mum with a giggling fit that started with little more than my sister pretending to go cross-eyed.

All of his articles are beautifully written. Do you reckon it's all his work or is there a ghost writer?

I have no idea! I think they're his own as he talks about himself and his teammates in some of them, it's hard to imagine a ghost writer knowing some of the pre-match routines they go through like having a few kicks with Giansiracusa before the match.
They're more personal, a bit like Brett Kirk's match reports for Optus a few years back.

Barry Hall on the other hand I'd say definitely has a ghost writer!

I thought the most phenominal thing pre match against the Doggies was the amazingly accurate passes by Luke Ablett.

Also we hardly missed a goal on goal kicking practice.
