Sheffield are very poor. Palace may be tough but there's no excuse midweek at Sheffield.

Problem is, when battlers play us it's their grand final.

As a richmond supporter i know this well.

We keep getting PL teams.

I reckon Klopp will send a reserve team if we qualify for the league cup semis in January which is a two legged affair.

We just don't have the cattle to maintain runs in all comps unless we bring in some new midfielders in the Jan window.

100%.
Gomez on the right is forever anxiety inducing.
Need a right back

Gomez is a good right back, the decision to have him as fresh legs there to take on the sub Willian is the right one, freeing up Trent as well is a bonus.

My only gripe is they want Gomez to play inverted, that needs to be scrapped. He’s not a ball playing wizard like Trent is, let him stick to his flank.

Harsh - on both players

Agreed but if it doesn't hit Leno it doesn't go in, IMO. It is the same if there is a deflection but the shot is going to miss.

Would go with this against Sheffield, Grav and Darwin look like they need a rest, play Mac at left side mid and let Endo hold it

Diaz Gakpo Mo
Mac Endo Szobo
Kos VVD Konate Trent
Kelleher
Definitely see Gakpo starting as Sheffield will play a low block so less space for someone like Darwin, whereas Gakpo is excellent in tight spaces and good with his feet. Nailed on Gakpo starts I reckon.

Soz has looked off the pace in the last few games and needs a rest completely in the SU game for me and then off the bench in the Palace game.

Endo deserves a start in the league. Time for Elliott to get a run of games (start both league games than start in the cup).

So in the important December xmas period, fighting for the league title you want to not start Szo in back to back games?

That's crazy IMO. I dont think he needs a rest, you have Mo playing, VVD, Kostas, Diaz... we need our best players playing in these games. I dont think a midfield of Endo, Jones and Elliott is the way to go vs SU away.
