Feels like if the club's serious then they buy both Lavia and Andre

We've allowed the Saudi clubs to mess with us then have not responded in a strong enough way, gonna go into the season 2 midfielders down especially at 6

For me it needs to be Lavia and a starting top class #6. If it is Andre & Lavia we've got too many young guys in midfield plus permacrock Thiago. Where's leadership & experience going to come from?

Loving the development of this guy. His play on the wing and determination are Salah-esque. If he keeps on developing I can see him being Salah's successor in 2 to 3 years time. Hopefully Klopp gives him plenty of minutes in EL group stage + league cup.

U21s beat Hull City 5-0. Cannonier got a hattrick, Koumetio and Pilling with the other 2 goals.

Kone-Doherty, Mabaya, Norris, Stephenson and Gyimah all with an assist each.

Team was: Jaros (Pitaluga, 45), Miles (Mabaya, 65), Gyimah (Osborne, 78), Pinnington (Spearing, 65), Koumetio, Norris, Stephenson, Pilling, Kone-Doherty, Cannonier, Musialowski.

I gotta be honest this transfer window has been a ****ing shit show and a terrible disappointment. It's not really giving me any sort of confidence that we will challenge for anything this season. If anything, we've gotten worse.

We've had 6 key guys leave in Firmino, Henderson, Fabinho, Keita, Milner and Ox. Sure some played more than others but all outside Ox really were key members of the squad, when Naby was fit, he was a good player and a legitimate option in midfield, of course he was always injured though.

But the 12 months of teasing Bellingham just to say nope too expensive, then to lose 6 first team players and replace them with just two players in Mac and Szo. Squad wise, we're worse off than what we were last season which is massively concerning considering all the rumours about a massive summer window to refresh the squad and build Klopp's second iteration.

Just so disappointing, we're a week from opening day and we've brought in two midfielders to replace five outgoing mids and we havent brought in a defender we badly needed.

Shit show.

We are stuffing around because the owners are too tight assed and set us a strict set of rules. We cannot even foot a 5 million dollar difference for one player.

And now we head into the season with no defensive mids, nor any that are match ready and used to our system. We better score a lot of goals in the first month. If the window closes, and we sign no one else, we wont even play europe next year.

Have a bad feeling that Chelsea beat us opening weekend.

Why is it taking so long to close the Lavia deal?

Mac was done pretty quickly and he didn't even have an official buyout clause. Just a gentlemans agreement.

Soton want to sell, Lavia is keen to join us and Klopp wants him. Yet Fenway Shite Group are struggling to close the deal seemingly over a few million pounds.

40m net spend is a joke considering the rebuild needed and our wage bill reducing by 700k / week.

I like how it is FSG's fault when they don't handle transfers. The new bloke doing Michael Edwards' old job is the one in charge of it all. FSG just put the money out there. If we are wanting 2 more mids and a defender then the money is definitely there but the club are playing hard ball because Southampton's valuation is bullshit.

Another page of being annoyed that our owners are behaving like our owners.

Also, Salah bid rumour this morning.

If we sell Salah, the entire Klopp era will have been for very little, because we are a selling club again. It will confirm that Liverpool can have small windows of happiness, but never the sustained success of proper big clubs like the two down the East Mancs Road.

Salah isn't interested in Saudi. Maybe in 3 years time if the league is still around.
