Okay, since you've spelt his name correctly, I'll give you 1 reason why Torres is better.

Emily Heskey made 150 league appearances (that's matches only in the English Premier League for Liverpool) and scored 39 goals.

Fernando Torres made (in his debut season of English Football) 33 league appearances and scored 24 goals.

So in approximately, 1/5 of games played, Torres has scored more than half of what Heskey scored.

The season has just finished, Wigan stayed in the EPL.

So they're in it for at least another season.
