Or even a serious footy show where they actually talk about football. That would be a nice change. As a member of the footy public, I'm tired of being treated as a simpleton by TV executives.

but but but... he was the guy who didn't like beer but pretended to like it so he didn't feel ashamed in front of his friends on SkithouseHelliar played a bit part on Rove's show which was never any good and never funny. He also played a part on BTG and was never the reason why I watched the show. He hosted a radio program which was absolutely fricken terrible. Please let me know who decided it would be a good idea to give Helliar his own prime time TV show? Surely whoever decided that must also lose their job.

The struggling Thursday night footy variety show hosted by comedian Peter Helliar, AFL great Leigh Matthews and former Tigers champion Matthew Richardson will be replaced with comedy The Vicar of Dibley.

As mentioned in the HS today, the show that replaced The Bounce, The Vicar of Dibley, outrated the last episode The Bounce by 117,000.
The Bounce (last episode) - 161,000
The Vicar of Dibley - 278,000
I watched abount 20 mins of VoD and actually chuckled a few times, more than i did the whole time The Bounce was on.
He said the decision came after a brief meeting yesterday where executives from the network and show tried to plan a way forward. They regrouped today where the decision was made to rest the show until September.
i swear ch 7 said they were bringing it back near the end of the season.
