Helliar played a bit part on Rove's show which was never any good and never funny. He also played a part on BTG and was never the reason why I watched the show. He hosted a radio program which was absolutely fricken terrible. Please let me know who decided it would be a good idea to give Helliar his own prime time TV show? Thank god it is gone - absolutely terrible show.

I don't mind Richo or Matthews as both know what they are talking about. The major problem is Helliar. Not only is he a moron but he is not funny in the slightest.

Needs MAJOR work if it is to come back and have any chance of being successful. Step number 1 - get rid of Helliar.

The struggling Thursday night footy variety show hosted by comedian Peter Helliar, AFL great Leigh Matthews and former Tigers champion Matthew Richardson will be replaced with comedy The Vicar of Dibley.

Haha, those skits were pretty ****in cringeworthy! You could tell the players were uncomfortable.

Vicar of dibley is me mums fav show. She is happy but they are old repeats. Still getting more viewers than the bounce though.

Channel 7 had an idea that they thought would be at least as good as 9's, The footy Show. They Called it the Bounce. They should have just called it "Absolutely Shithouse". The skits were lame, the taxi intro was, well, shithouse, and Peter Helliar worked with rove, and probably looked up to him, figuratively speaking. Rove was crap, and his sidekick was worse. Channel 7 ruins their footy telecasts, what made anyone think that they could produce a decent football related show? I hope 7 doesn't get the footy when the next deal is made. They suck A Big time. On a side note, regarding Richo, A Great player he truly was, and an all round nice bloke he may be, But name one other player, ex or otherwise that looks as uncomfortable when on camera as Richo. He should never be in front of a camera. Watching him as a co-host was painful.

He said the decision came after a brief meeting yesterday where executives from the network and show tried to plan a way forward. They regrouped today where the decision was made to rest the show until September.
