The win you have when your not having a win credit to the bummers you can only beat what’s in front of youbarrett calls * win at the gabba a "fake win"..........
I'm guessing Willo needed to step away from AFL due to the pressures, commitment etc, and has sought a change in environment for a fresh start. VFL would be much easier to manage with MH issues than AFL.Interesting...
If North pick him up...
Could have been some shady s**t going on by North behind the scenes...
Possibly was going to be cut anyway, good luck to him... Don't want to waste our time on players that don't want to be here...

Surprised that folks don't seem to be talking about Vossy/the Club seemingly keeping the door ajar for Liam Jones now that the AFL have removed the vax mandate.
Seemed an interesting turnaround from his responses earlier in the year. I wonder if this year's KPD injury struggles have something to do with it?
ED: This was in today's pre-game presser.
We have great leverage and played the long game well. We tried to get an extra pick last year and the afl said “rules are rules.”The response to the Jones/Covid no injections now required starts around 8.5 minutes into the presser - paraphrasing:
"Voss specifically states that the situation is complicated
but stated that Jones decided to retire and the Club respected that decision but teh Club has a responsibility to look after itself
so the Club will pursue every means it can to see what if anything it can get "
my take:
the leverage the Club has over the Jones situation is that Jones can't actually apply to play AFL for 18 months after retirement.
So if the AFL are going to give Jones dispensation to play - then Carlton has every right to seek some sort of compensation.
Voss has previously made it clear that the Club has moved on from Jones - as in very clear.

No worries. Well, rules are rules. The guy can’t play….unless of course you have a deal for us.
Anyone we want to trade for at Essendon for unders? You want Jones, well let him play for you if you give us '......' for a 3rd round pick .....[emoji848]Essendon having a chat to Jones - yeah nah Jonesy and up yours EssenDONE.
Seruously....Like what? Now aligned with a VFL team and no affiliation with high stress AFL team....WTF is going on here?
Steps away for mental health and well being and then pops up a few weeks later at another club.
There are so many things I want to say about this but....
My take on it is simply that our list management planning has moved on. If his name wasn't Jones, would we be looking for a key defender of that age and pay bracket?
Yeah, I know he's been pretty firm in the past, that's why the seeming equivocation caught be by surprise. But I didn't clearly hear the question on my first listen. It turns out that it was in response to a question about the club seeking compensation for Liam, so I guess he wasn't referring to the possibility of Jones being allowed back. The response to the Jones/Covid no injections now required starts around 8.5 minutes into the presser - paraphrasing:

Whately had us at 2 after the Freo win. Not sure he kept us there after the Saints loss.
This is the type of weekly reporting that turns me off listening to football media. Last week, im pretty sure they had carlton in their 'top 4 seeds', whately maybe had us number 2.
Then we play s**t against the cats and we are no longer in the top 4......the fact we lost to Pies, Rich and Saints still had us at top 4.....yeah, makes sense
Football media is pathetic and the weekly chop and changing based on one game is the reason people shouldnt listen to it.
(it comes up on my newsfeed from time to time and if im bored ill take a look to see their inconsistencies)

We haven't won 2 games in a row for 2 months now. Top 4 is beyond us.
Interesting article in the HS stating that perhaps Ben might be better than Harry moving forward.
