That producer needs a good hard look at himself. You're right that show will be on the block end of the season. Maher needs to go. His dumbed down intensity regarding the most trivial of trivial is ear bleed sort of stuff.
and ratings aren't an issue either - it's pretty much the gambling network as far as advertising is concerned - so ratings on programs are not significant as money just continually pours into hutchy's back kick............

Another story in today's age about carlton having discussions with the afl about receiving compensation should Liam Jones play with another club next season. The story states that the blues "expect to have positive discussions with the league about what might be a fair return for losing a key player of his quality to retirement for circumstances that were beyond the clubs control ".

Current rules state that a retired player cannot play for 18 months but carlton are happy for that to be waived provided they receive compensation. Carlton do not intend to re-recruit Jones.
Anyone know why Jones won’t return to Carlton? All media talk is the same that he won’t be returning?

Voss spent the first few months of his tenure getting to know his playing group as much as possible. His introduction to Liam was the vaccine refusal and retirement. Next man up, we've moved on.

It would seem that the club do not want him back. I think that the club thought that he left them in the lurch.

I think when you are trying to teach self sacrifice for team benefit, you could have the opinion that he was being selfish.

Jones had every right to make his decision but he sided with himself instead of the team. It’s easier for the team to make no concessions than some.

The question I suppose is what is a reasonable ask from the football club for a player to put their own view aside?

My take on it is simply that our list management planning has moved on. If his name wasn't Jones, would we be looking for a key defender of that age and pay bracket?

I'm not sure it even gets as far as feeling left in the lurch or anything like that. Time has passed, our plans have adapted to where we've found ourselves, and he's no longer a good fit for us.

WTF is going on here?

Steps away for mental health and well being and then pops up a few weeks later at another club.

There are so many things I want to say about this but I don't know the full details so I won't....

Sorry thylacine60

I want to know what has happened here

If I left my job for those reasons and popped up at a competitor 3 weeks later I know what I would be receiving in the mail...

I get really concerned about the mental health card and the AFL. I don't like the fact this could be brought into question in this situation.

I'm happy if HE came out and said something but I'm really concerned that he just cracked it with the club and now this...
