Got an SMS from Carlton today saying I owed money on my membership - which I thought odd.

Log in and there's an unpaid invoice for the 2024 membership apparently waiting to be paid. We haven't even finished this season, why am I getting messages about paying next year's membership?

I definitely am (and the card on the account has expired but all payments had been up to date), I just wasn't expecting next years to be coming out before this year finished.

I'll have to give them a call.

Next years memberships usually roll over around the 1st November. Seems strange, hope you sorted it out.

All sorted, apparently they're appearing in the system in preparation for the rollover. That might be completely normal, I've never bothered to look into the portal at this time of the year.

Checked my account this morning.

Mine rolled over in October last year & 1st payment came out on the 18th October.

Renewals are normally sent out late September.

Did you log in separately, or follow a link in the SMS? If the latter, potentially a scam. And a worrisome one at that, for it would likely indicate the scanner had access to club membership details. I don't think it's likely, but need to be careful (just ask Weiters).

No link in the SMS, thankfully I'm very much aware not to click on those. Just a number to call back on, which was the membership team.
