Probably something that has already been covered a thousand times but I got an email from the club saying I can access my $0 ticket to the game tomorrow against Hawthorn. I've gone to collect the ticket via the barcode on ticketek however its saying that even for Level 4 I have to pay $13 for it. Am I doing something wrong here?

Ok
Don't fall off your chairs.
But now Tim Watson is saying it was Gil Mac who approached Jordan Lewis for the footy director job at our club.
Yep.
Make of that what you will my fellow baggers.
Interesting question is why would Gil stick his nose into it? It is not like we are on the edge and he needs to sure up the club like he did with GCS.

Also there is nothing as good for the ego as being sounded out for a job and then going around telling everyone about it. Lacks class and confirms you are someone best avoided.

tinker with their game plan, find the right coach, elect a new committee etc etc...the wheel never ends. How the hell did Richmond get it so right, and we can't even teach kids how to kick. It took us 8 years to get Caboult to kick properly and cost us over 100k in a specialist coach.

Tigers took 10 years from rebuild to flag.

2016 the had supporters calling for blood.

It sounds familiar, doesn't it

Never know, when he leaves the AFL, he could come sniffing for a job at Carlton. I hear Demetriou is looking for work. Get him on our Board and get some of those Chinese whales to invest in the club.

Given board positions are non paying, I struggle to understand why anyone would do it for the right reasons for a club they don't support

The difference is they have a quality CEO whose type comes along very rarely. Plus they have Balme who was the final piece of their puzzle, and their recruiting has been brilliant. They are light years ahead of other clubs and still manage to win even when their midfield is decimated.
Hardwick has coached for 11 years. In that time we have sacked Ratten, Malthouse, and Bolton plus Barker as an interim coach.
So, in answer to your question, it does not sound familiar, in fact I would describe it chalk and cheese.

Yet you remember the call for blood end of 2016, including Hardwick, hindsight is a wonderful thing

Although rather than stabilizing the situation, like Tigers retaining Hardwick, you want to sack Teague

Nothing worse when an umpire decides to force themselves into a game

By 2016 Hardwick had been at the helm for 6 years. They knew his philosophy and agreed he was the right coach for the club. I was under the impression that is what we were planning with Bolton, but as usual, we changed our minds and dumped him on the basis of a couple of big losses and rumblings from within the playing and coaching group.

If you check my posts you will see I have been against replacing Teague, and getting the right people around him. I do not want to see Lyon or Clarkson at the club because it is taking a backward step. Their time and era has come and gone. However the more the season progresses, the more it appears to me that Teague is not up to it, and all of the assistants in the world will not help, and if anything make Teague paranoid that his assistant may end up replacing him if he does not perform as he did with Bolton.. If I am wrong so be it. He has the rest of the season to show what he has to deliver. If the Assistants are not upto it, then we have to ask the question who selected them???

At some point Lloyd has to be accountable. Surely there must be better options out there.

It's fine to discuss our situation throughout the season and we know what the possibilities are if we start a downward turn, but at this stage of the season, it's way too early to predict failure

Weird...
Were half GWS and 0% GCS, why are the AFL trying to stick their noses into our club?
Also why would we want an outsiders (Leppitsch or Lewis) on our board, knowing club secrets?

As Lloyds role can understand but the board....

Agree, both leppitsch and Lewis...selling themselves in the media....yeah, no thanks.

The problem is that the injuries for Carlton and other teams will only get worst. We are into Round 10 and there is something like 179 injured players across the competition. It will only get worst as the season progresses.

Another person mentioned the correlation between being a premiership player and a premiership coach. Teague never played in a premiership, Hardwick did.
