Strategy The case for a third tall forward

So even Carlton's tall forwards wrecked the Kangaroos last night

Add Lachie Henderson to the list of KPPs who didn't really hit their straps for a long time despite showing a lot of talent. He'll be 25 by the start of next season, he's played 100 games, and he's having his best year, easily.

Fancy a team emptying out the forwardline and even sending Menzel to HB to let Waite and Henderson roam int he F50, and it working! All it needed was for Casboult to chip in with a couple.

At Port, Ken drops Casboult, sends Waite to back pocket and Henderson to the wing so Menzel can be one out

Well, Hinkley put forward his reasons for not selecting Shaw, Harvey, and Butcher. We look to 2015.

OK

We now get it that we have no one ready

BUT can we do an Essendon? (carlile)

Watching the Richmond game now I do see the merit of having another target up there that can most times win a one on one marking contest

What about O'Shea?great intercept mark likes to take the game on. What's his set shot like?

Would be able to keep the ball in the F50

Thoughts anyone?

If Clurey gets a run against the Swans it may be interesting to see how Ken uses him? Leave the defence as is best maybe let Clurey run through half forward.?

A case for a third tall forward? I feel most games we only have 1 tall forward for the majority of time.

I definitely feel we have a strong case for a second tall.

Having just got back from Port v Central, it's self-evident.

We don't have a tall forward in the SANFL.

Not in position anyway...

Shaw, Harvey and butcher (albeit absent this week)? I thought they were all coming along nicely?

Watching this shit. Now.

Jake Neade at FF is a much safer option than taking a punt on anyone else over 173cm.

Monfries = traffic cone.

I don't actually mind Neade in the side, he does some good work on the ground, Monfries just does.. what does he do in 2014? Bring Newton in for Mitchell as he may actually have a future, bring Clurey in for Monfries and send Trengove forward.

Monfries, Moore, Wines and Wingard are training cones. The running up and down on the spot that comes with those three when they are defending is painful to watch.
