The Chris Judd Thread

Guys this is purely hypothetical and just to get some discussion on the board.

If Chris Judd stated he wanted out of W.A and wanted to move back to Melbourne and nominated MFC as he preference (aka Aker). What would you give for him????

Brock and a late draft pick
Brock and Col
Rivers and Brock
Davey and Col

Just thought I would open it to suggestions.

Whatever it is, it's not enough for them.
Whatever it is, it's too much for us.

Sorry for the lack of imagination, but I'm just being realistic. They'd want a LOT for Judd (rightly so), but I'd rather keep our young, core guys than giving up 2-3 good players for one.

Judd is the best player in the league, but imagine having to give up someone like McLean? I just couldn't do it. Same goes for Davey and Rivers. I'd say at this stage they are the only three untouchables.

McLean is Melbourne.

Judd is West Coast.

I'd rather McLean even though he is an inferior player (not by far though). I don't want our game turning into soccer where superstars are traded left right and centre.

i would rather more guns get traded, like in the nba, AFL will never be soccer like with salary caps, soccer is only about money

Judd is a loong way superior to McLean at the moment. I wouldn't give up anymore than 1 top player (Bruce, Johnstone, McLean etc) and our first draft pick. It's till tough to give up a top player but Judd is the best.

At the end of the day, it won't happen anyway. Judd is West Coast captain and will finish his career that way.

if we got judd. Most teams trade big guns in the NBA, i wouldn't like us to do it, but the trade periods these days are ****house

lets face it he is sick of west coast and would only stay because he is a loyal man

but we could be a real chance

lets say we finish down the bottom and get pick say 5 add that to travis johnstone and would it be worth it???

i just thought of that then so dont criticise that too much but any one got any ideas

Honestly it would be hard to say goodbye to Brock or Bruce but if it was one of them in a straight swap for Judd how could you say no?

I would give them Johnstone + a better than average player + a second round draft pick.

I'd give anyone on our list for Judd. Except for Brock. That's not to say he's better than Judd, which means not taking that swap could be considered stupid, but Brock is a leader of this team already. He's a man-child who should eventually captain this side very soon. He could very well be considered the heart and soul of this side.





Just on a side note, I was under the impression that Judd was a Melbourne supporter when he was younger. However, I've heard in certain circles that he was a Hawthorn fan. Anyone confirm this?

I reckon to get him we would have to give up something like Moloney + Top 10 draft pick or perhaps sylvia and Top 10 draft pick. Alternatively, you could go Sylvia + Moloney + 1st rounder for Judd and 2nd rounder
