One thing which was confusing the shyte outta me yesterday were all of the blokes running around with shaved heads-

Judd, Chick, Wirra, Adkins, Munro, Lynch (and Fido, but I don't think he counts)- do we have a chapter of skinheads, or is this all some kind of bizarre tribute to Milli?

It is getting close to the time for team photos and I think they are having a competition to see who can have the worst hairdo. ATM I think Trent Carroll with that half mullet half mohawk thing could be leading.

And what's with WHITE boots? Is this a ploy by Puma? I think I saw at least 5 pairs out there!

Exactly.. The eerie part is when they're even getting the shoulder strapping and white boots to look the part.

If I were Judd, I'd be getting a tiny bit freaked out by the number of groupies he's accumulating.

A lot of the blokes have imitated Juddy's cut, but Munro's taken it one step further and strapped the shoulders. Now that's dedication for ya.

On the other hand, someone needs to tell that hippy McDougall to get a goddamn haircut.

I don't mind Doogs with the "mop" hairstyle. He's played better since he's had it! And nothing could ever be as bad as the blonde "mushroom" of a few years back.

Fletch and Carroll's hairstyle kinda reminded me of a hairstyle Eddie Guerrero used to sport.

yes noticed both the shaved heads and the copious amounts of white boots on the field.

Was very confusing and more often than not had to look at the numbers to work out who it was.

MacDougall's new hair cut looks a little like Mark Powell from Sydney.

While Trent Carroll's hair is worse than his footballing prowess....

the white shoes were interesting.. it made it easy to tell who was an eagles player.. (i had trouble with this.. white shorts didn't stand out enough for me to quickly see).. and then all the shaved heads made it even more difficult.. thank goodness for those numbers on the back...

It could have something to do with the fact that its hot in summer and doing footy training might be a bit more comfortable with short hair.

Of course in line with this board, I'll generate a bizzare reason some time soon...

The haircuts, strapping, and boots might just be a little ploy to confuse the taggers. Judd was put under the hammer late last year by taggers once opposition coaches realised how dangerous he was. Several of them roughed him up too.
So if there are 4-5 Judd look alikes?
The ball is bounced, and in the melee in the middle, two taggers are looking for Judd, there he is, no, over there, no thats not him either.......meanwhile Judd has the ball and is heading goalward......

It sounds far fetched but honestly the commentators were getting people mixed up, I was mixing people up so why wouldnt the opposition. You never know but it could be a Whoosha masterplan!
