Schofield is a defender you say? So he probably should have been somewhere in the vicinity of Tom McDonald when he kicked that last goal then huh?
Why would I care about that. Don't support either club.

I have played professional sport and have seen my name and team ridiculed on social media. It's very upsetting and you want to respond to everything but, at the end of the day, you just have to suck it up and move on, because what would responding to these people achieve? I don't know, I just feel Oliver should have been more mature in his approach.
I agree with you on that, but I think a guy with a bit more experience of the caper would have kept quiet. Goes back to Oliver being 19.

Deflecting attention from the elbow to the face after the siren then? Am I wrong here, or wasn't it Schofield who threw the elbow?
At the end of the day, Oliver plays the footy and Schofield is a spud who goes missing when it counts.

Yeah your guys won with a goal in the last minute, well done, I already gave loads of credit to Melbourne in the game day thread.

But if you want to drag this up because you got schooled when quoting stats to 'compare' Oliver and Schofield then that is indeed deflection.

I think most people agree, Oliver is a gun and played a better than that Schofield on Saturday (woohoo add that one to the trophy cabinet), Melbourne won a game of footy on Saturday, Oliver dived but most importantly Schofield getting off was massive for the integrity of the sport

Fair enough. I guess I have been harsh on him, I couldn't imagine my name being ridiculed to the extent that his has. Hopefully he doesn't take another dive and is only thought of as one of the best young players in the AFL.

Why didn't someone at the club tell him to pull his head in after he went after Martyn? Or changed his avatar pic the first time?

Leadership at the Demons sorely lacking in that regard and he's been hung out to dry looking like a fool now.

4 points come and they go. 9 sides get them every week and 9 sides don't. That loss will be long forgotten the next time we win. Unless you win the premiership those 4 points really mean nothing in the end.

Eagles have won over 2/3rds of the games we have played against Melbourne. You are the worst football side we have ever come up against in our history. The only sides we have a better record against is Brisbane Bears, Gold Coast and GWS. Happy enough with that.

Oliver has tarnished his reputation for the rest of his career. His carry on and changing of his profile on Twitter reinforces peoples opinion of him, that will be remembered a long time after those 4 points are not.

The additional part of this is he feigned the injury then doubled down and continued acting it up with full knowledge what he was doing was getting another player suspended.

That's one of the lowest acts you can do and extended far beyond just the game day incident.

Melbourne won the game, good for them as it was hard earned and well deserved, but Oliver has done massive damage to his reputation and credibility for the rest of his career.

Did I hear right that Oliver changed his twitter profile picture to the Schofield incident? If so, kid better get his head out of his own rear end.

Yes. Then changed it to one with bandages around his head.

It's amazing how offended and angry West Coast supporters are getting, it's almost as if this has affected their entire lives.

Reverse the roles, Hurn acts like a tool on Twitter, plays up his concussion from Viney more and Viney gets 2 weeks for his hit.

Would you be happy?

Well to be fair, the only aspect of anyone's life you see on BigFooty, is their Bigfooty lives.
So that comment could be used against anyone on here really...

Glad you like it. I liked Saturday night's match against you blokes. I also liked Darling's whiplash over years and years. Now THAT is funny.

I would say "act like your club has been good before," but unless you're about 70 years old you wouldn't actually have been there, so your newfound arrogance is understandable.

You are butchering that meme.

Just wanted to touch on this point here. I think you're wrong; to the Melbourne footy club and its fans, the win means a fair deal. Like you said, you have a great record against us and we hadn't beaten you in Perth since 2002. So this win is a massive monkey off our back and a great boost in confidence to a group which has been growing in confidence by the week. To also do it with 3 of our players getting injured is a testament to the fight and belief this team now possesses. You can all laugh and sneer at Oliver all you want but you can't deny the passion, determination and competitiveness that he and the other 21 boys in red and blue play with anymore.

Made one post in response to a bloke calling into question his character. I bet Martyn would have gone down like a sack of shite if an opponent elbowed him during the tea break too. Why: because he would have no reason to expect it.

Had Martyn just punched one of the opposing cricketers in the chest while that guy wasn't looking? If so, he probably should expect one of that player's teammates to have some sort of quick response.

Based on his history "Elbows" Schofield will be dishing out the cheapshots again in no time at all...in the WAFL though.

What history does Schofield have of throwing elbows? If you're predicting that he'll be throwing cheap shots soon based on one recent incident, then I guess we can also predict that Clayton Oliver will have another drink driving charge coming in the near future.
