Seeing the #putyourbatsout hashtag has got me thinking about all the different Cricket bats that I have owned over the years. Figured a thread could work where everyone posts images of cricket bats they have owned, as it can bring back some good memories for some.

The first bat I ever got was a one that came with a Kookaburra wicket+ball set. It was basic Kashmir willow, but I forget the name of it.

My brother I remember had an old Kookaburra Bubble that I would use from time to time

Doesn't look all that different now, to how it did back then

The first bat that I went out and bought was the Kookaburra Kahuna with the graphite back (although mine was not actual graphite). I was not much of a batsman, so i really just wanted something that looked cool. It cost $230 in the end, and didnt really end up getting many runs

I always liked the look of the Beast graphite bats that Brett Lee and Mike Hussey would use

I then went and got a GM bat, but forget what model
Feel free to post your own bat, or one of you have owned in the past

Use to have some old Gray Nicolls thing, pretty cheap.

3 seasons ago I decided I needed to splash the cash and got a Kookaburra Blade (because Phil Hughes used one :().

Absolutely love this bat. Perfect weight for me, and if I hit it off the middle, even just a little bunt through the covers, the ball races away. Plus now it has the extra special meaning with Hughesy's tragic passing this week.

the bats are tree stumps now days, back in the day i had a Slazenger V600, it was heavier than most due to apparently having thicker edgers, but only having recently taking cricket up again after 7 odd years, i was amazed to how much the bats have changed,

My bat as a junior, harrow sized Puma Ballistic 6000 first grade english Willow.

My cricket is currently on hold due to a few minor issues, but my current bat is. Chunky as helllll, love it!

Is it made out of Jarrah?

3 pound 9 is unheard of in modern cricket, pretty much anything over three pound is generally custom designed and made, not commercially available to the average punter

i think your scales are stuffed

When I bought it, there was 2 types. One was advertised as 3.0, the other as 3.+. One of the older blokes uses a 3 pound 4, and its noticeably heavier than that. Anyway, I did get curious last year and put in on the kitchen scales and that's what I got. Maybe the scales are stuffed, might try again :D

And yes Black Diamond, way too much bottom hand! I said I used a bat, not that I'm a batsman :p

I have a question. How do you get a 2013 model bat? Looked everywhere sigh:(
I'm after a Slazenger V1200 Hex to replace my broken one. Best bat I've ever owned. Even though it only came out two years ago, you can't buy them anymore.

Just bought myself a new for the 1st time in many years.

Kookaburra Raptor 650.. picked it up at the boxing day sales for $140, down from 200. Have always been a Grey Nichols man, but i liked the Kookaburra range this season so much I thought I'd give them a try.
