This is the point, there was absolutely no need to rush this at all.

How late could they have confirmed his extension? End of October? What was the deadline?

I wish the Review would ask why the f**k did you do this extension before the new coach arrives?

These are the questions that the Review needed to have asked.

Mackay's extension represents all that is wrong with the AFC at the moment.

Mackay wouldn't get close to 6 shots on goal. Would be lucky to have one running shot that doesn't make the distance

Why has everyone got their knickers in a knot. Will be like Thompson last year and play mostly be in SANFL and be used as a back up when required.

Go back 12 months and you'll find a lot of people saying the exact same thing about this year.

That's a sad indictment on our recruiting structure. Throw in Stack. Richmond picked 2 out of season players. Our recruiters have a poor talent id pedigree. We also trade out all our picks on Gibbs like players. Jones barely had a look in for us. We prefer the MacKay model of "just retain your spot players". MacKay has not improve since his 50th game.
