So the candle burning experiment would just be a waste of time then?(1) It's daytime and (2) stars are tiny anyway. The ratio of Earth's diameter to distance varies from 1/5 to 1/20 in the above videos. The next nearest star is 4 light years away, so the ratio of an average star diameter to distance is more like 1 to 100,000,000
And yes, Star Trek is fun to watch, but it's not scientifically accurate in depicting space travel![]()
