I assume we're talking about the footy show here. I didnt know so many people watched it still, it really doesnt have that much to do with footy. IMO (from when I last watched it and Im going to go out on a limb here and guess it hasnt changed too much, and if it has then almost certainly not for the better) around 60% of the total football content is the name of the show.
Its a complete waste of time and when they do bother to actually talk about footy they only talk about victorian clubs. They're immature idots who arent even worth bothering with. All the shows on Foxtel kill it for quality and actual footy content, its a load of rubbish, apologies to those without the goldmine that is Fox Sports 1. If I wanted to listen to boneheaded, egotistical idiots who think they're funny but arent and have no idea about footy make the same in jokes each week I'd go hang out in the front bar until some came along.
All of Fox's shows are a thousand times better, they did experiment with a similar concept to the footy show, I think it was called the gospel or something (radio recording session I think) but suprise suprise they dont bother to show it now that Fox Footy is no longer around.
I wonder how much longer the Footy show will be around, the one thing they do have is a whole heap of adds so I guess the answer is a long time.

Not quite.
Thomas was in charge of the match preview, and announced the crows as "Adelaide, who went down to the bullies by 34 points last week". He then went on to say our home form was poor thanks to the 50/50 record we have at AAMI this season, and suggested Brisbane were likely to get up because of this. Failed to mention the likelyhood that it would be Roo's last game at AAMI.
Hodge also tipped Brisbane and also failed to mention Roo.
Finally, Hird disagreed with the other two and suggested that Adelaide might get up with a strong team effort for Roo, and Lyon later agreed with him and his reasoning.
Newman tipped Adelaide, but, as usual, had no reasoning for doing so and hadn't been listening to the other panelists. He even went on to discuss the Saints/Eagles game instead.

Good work by Hird and Lyon. If I was in Thomas' position, I'd probably try a little bid harder with my research if asked to present a match preview on national tv.

I only watch the Footy Show now that there's nothing else to watch at that time.........but it's dissappointing that one of the more high profile shows have their heads so far up their Victorian arses that they can't acknowledge a 300+ game champ.

As I said earlier - good to see a bit of class from Hird and Lyon.

The more I hear that Thomas talk off the Footy Field - the more I hope he has a successful career as he appears to have absolutely nothing left in the locker....

Has anyone noticed just how overly Vic-centric Channel 9's football shows have become since the interstate sides placed a stranglehold on the competition?

I mean, it's always been that way to an extent due to sheer mathematics (10 Vics/6 other), but the amount of time invested into talking about largely irrelevant shit on a weekly basis on both TFS and Footy Classified is mindblowing.

Regular pieces on sides that are so far from contention its not funny, or yet another EXCITING interview with Mick Malthouse and Nathan Buckley so they can regale us with the latest media evasion techniques and cliches.

10 minutes with Nathan Brown and Greg Miller. An interview with the Melbourne CEO about who he's interested in to coach next year. Another rehash of how Carlton is still in the toilet and "the punishment they received for their salary cap breaches probably went too far".

Is it that hard to get Craig on via satellite? Or get Roo to sit with Mike, Wallsy and Gerard On the Couch (Fox)?

But wait, apparently there's bad blood between Wayne Carey and the Kangaroos!

They'd sooner have Steven King on to discuss his chances of holding his spot over Blake/his latest 500 page thriller than keep up with the Joneses north of the Murray and west of Mt. Gambier.

I’ll be honest, big fan of the show as it’s good for a laugh but I’ve been very disappointed with the last few weeks.

They showed absolutely no respect for Ricciuto at all. Last week when he announced his retirement they had no footage of a great career, they just talked about him for about a minute, and half of it was Sam Newman bagging Ricciuto for reading his retirement speech. Class.

And yet on the same show they paid tribute to David Neitz’s 300th game and they went to the ad break with highlights and they talked about him for a couple of minutes.

Before The Game is another biased, boring, Victorian loving footy show. Three of the panel are Carlton supporters and the others support Collingwood or Hawthorn. Dave Hughes and Lehmo are about as funny as throat cancer and Samantha Lane only got the job because of daddy. Also, Funniest Home Video Show is probably the only show which has more in-show advertising than Before the Game.
