Ladies and gentlemen, while you still have time buy some popcorn and cancel any plans of may have had on Saturday afternoon. On ABC TV, John “Around the ground ruckman” Meesen will be in action for the Mighty Redlegs. Now as you’re watching I know there will be tears of joy as you finally get to experience someone who contributes around the ground, as opposed to the Doc’s shortcomings who we’ve had to endure for many years. Get settled on the couch and enjoy it folks, enjoy it… Or, head down to Elizabeth and catch up with the Drumm and Punchy Bassett.

Oh and keep an eye out for No.6 Bryce Campbell, Crows player in 2007. ;)

Yeh I think Gibson will be a good player down the track for the Crows. The main problem at this stage is simply getting on the park, he’s always injured. :o

He has all the attributes to be a good key position player, and he’s spent time this season in defence and up forward. His strength would be his vertical leap, one of the biggest I have ever seen. He always crashes the packs; making a contest and bringing the ball to the ground. He’s also extremely quick, which allows him to make space from opponents. He's still got a long way to go; first of all he just needs to get his body right. He had cemented his spot in our league team before he got injured, so hopefully he’s back soon.

Thanks for that

Whats his injury status ?

The reason he is injured all the time is because of the way he plays. He just goes in hard regardless of whether or not its safe to do so. He has no regard for his own safety.

He does have a lot of potential (not a natural footballer though) but IMHO he needs to improve his overhad marking a bit more.

Jesse Aish is 100% committed to footy now.

Is playing seniors at the age of 18 and most players who get drafted don't even break into the seniors at all.

We should seriously look at him.

Back from the game, fantastic second half Norwood.

That was terrible. Meesen had a great first half, but Hill decided to keep him in the forward line and it didn't pay off. Nicholas was beaten in the ruck while Meesen was stuck in the forward line and it never got down there. :(

Drummond, how long was Jesse Aish on the ground? I watched the match on TV and it's hard to tell if he spent a lot of time on the bench.

Even though he only got a couple of touches, I thought he showed a bit of class. Will be a very good player for Norwood at least it seems.

While talking about the future I think it's interesting to note that in the SANFL seniors yesterday Jericho, Skipworth, Porplyzia, Meesen and Vince all made the best players along with Obst, Redden and Sugars making best in the SANFL reserves.

Special mentions to Jericho who kicked 5 for Westies and Sugars who kicked 10:eek: for Glenelg reserves.
