Lance has finally made it, our new captain is the future of Carlton and it's taken 10 years for this guy to develop into a truly wonderful player. As far as I remember he was state captain for Vic U17 and just happened to play at CHB. What does that tell you?
Sad to see the Kouta man injured, he's certainly been a superstar and one of the few Carlton players that all supporters love to watch. BUT, his tired old body seems to be taking its toll and if he can make way for Lance in 2007 then there are only positives to gain.
Give Lance five or so years (as captain) where can only lead by his wonderful example. Better times are surely ahead of us!!!

On this years performances Lance deserves to be the captain, and hopefully with the responsability the weight issues will go away, good luck Lance, glad to see you leading the club and not a sook like cancereale( the bombers dud)

From what I read at the time, Lance did play the majority of his junior footy at CHB. It's just so good to see him playing good footy for the first time in a couple of years and i'm really looking forward to going to the footy on Friday night.

For the first time this year I won't be going to a Melbourne-based game this Fri night, because, well, I just can't be bothered to put in bluntly. It isn't our home game either.

So basically, I am looking forward to the great man Lance Whitnall collecting 30 touches, taking 18 marks, 12 contested and being BOG from CHB and Fevola kicks 8 in the forward line and we win by 30 points - all unfolding right in front of my eyes via the TV screen.

Is it fair to say that the majority of us want Kouta to retire and Lance to stay captain for a number of years ahead?

It's funny you mentioned that because for the first time in a long time I am looking forward to going to the footy on Friday night as well!!

Every week I go and watch the boys (win, lose, rain, hail or shine it doesn't matter, I am there) and every week I think to myself, "why do you do this week in week out only to be disappointed". But I come to the same conclusion every week and that is that I am passionate, like many of you I am sure !!!

I don't mind us losing as long as we have a go but I must say, after the game against West Coast and the positives that have come out of it, I really hope the boys don't disappoint!!!

GO THE BLUE BAGGERS!!!

I put money on it now:
West Coast will win the premiership in 2007
Freo or Carlton in 2009

Object or bag me all you want but i really think this will happen
I had the same feeling when i tipped hawthorn to beat richmond and for Franklin to fire up and play awesome. He ended up with 6 goals
