Add Knights to that list and I think we will see a better Vince this year as well.

Got to love the way our young midfield looks. Definetely got the backbone of our team for years to come amongst those, with Dangerfield, Ottens etc. added from this year.

Reilly - Calder Cannons (Vic)
van Berlo - West Perth (WA)
Thompson - Port Adelaide (SA)

Knights - Eastern (Vic)

Having an almost completely imported midfield doesn't fill me with a lot of confidence... not saying they're bad players, but i'll always be worried about the go-home factor. Just wondering when the home-grown talent will stand up? Our current Generals are all SA boys (well, except McLeod)... where's the next generation of SA boys standing up saying I want to lead the Crows midfield? Also, very happy to get Dangerfield, he will be a STAR... but again, we've let Brad Ebert go to interstate (to the WCE of all clubs!!) and that boy has captaincy written all over him. Were all of our draftings this year interstate guys? ...though, we've done better out of the Rookie List than most...

You just have to get them from wherever the best come from, and the club has done just that. You worry about the go home factor if and when it rears its ugly head.

You'd have to admit that the players you've mentioned above form the nucleus of a pretty good mid-field for the future.

The one thing lacking in that up and coming mid-field is an extreme speedster, which is why the club has had an emphasis on pace with its selections this year.

Ebert was a bit stiff, but we just have to trust the club on this one.

Good post for a second up effort though.

Hes getting better every year; disposal improved last year too.
