Finally got around to listening to this. Gorman sounds like a great guy. Very interesting interview but I'd hoped he was going to talk about the Jimmy Page gigs at the Greek.

He said something like the best day being in the Black Crowes was just the day it didn't suck as much. Wow!

Also funny story at the end about Oasis. I wonder what Liam actually said on stage that Gorman had misheard??

I think I will get a copy of his book. Cheers.
I was just cleaning out some old photos on my phone last week and I found this…must have sent it to my brother who is a big Led Zeppelin fan. He’s got some great stories.
If I remember correctly the short version of the Jimmy fallout was that they were all loving playing with him (especially Steve) and were going to go into the studio together then Rich did something to Jimmy so he quit overnight & Steve was furious at Rich

Been on a Gypsy and the Cat - Bloom sugar hit in the last 48hr.

I'll be damned if I don't hear The Cure - In Between Days.

Crunchy AF bassline.

RIP Spaceman
As a 5 year old I thought it was pretty cool that you had a guitar that shot out laser beams

He was one of my early hero’s.
Whenever I was playing the cricket bat guitar it was as Ace. Kiss alive was one of my first albums. Still have it First press.

I feel like my Metallica journey is complete, now.
Became a fan as a young teen, between RTL and MOP. AJFA was great, but I moved on to other things before TBA was released. Have never disliked them, just haven't been interested in the 'newer' stuff. Music from their first four albums is like a soundtrack to my teenage years.
So two generations of fans went on Sat night - me and my brother, my son and one of his friends. We all absolutely loved it, actually better than I hoped for. Sure, the four of us would have liked some more older stuff, but we were very satisfied with what we got.
And, Evanescence - wow, what a performance. They put on one hell of a show

I’ve gone down a Jean Michel Jarre rabbit hole and found this. Would love to take the worlds first portable Moog (2.40) to Antiques Roadshow and get them to value it. Never realised his dad scored all of those legendary David Lean films like Lawrence of Arabia

If you have ever watched Gallipoli you will be familiar with this track

One of the coolest takeaways I had from the night was all the people going with their parents or their kids and getting to experience it together, whether it be with the people who probably introduced them to the band or to the people they'd introduced and listened to them with. It was just really good vibes in the building the entire time.

Tool were ****ing incredible last night. Not my preferred setlist by any stretch but it didn't matter, it was 2+ hours of brilliance.

To anyone that sees them tonight or in Perth, enjoy. Hopefully the outdoor experience at Good Things is as good

Man I love Chevelle, it's criminal that they'd been playing for almost 15 years before I first heard them a decade ago.

They're one of the best hard rock/post grunge bands that most people have never heard of, even if they have interest in the genre(s). How they aren't bigger is a mystery to me.

Have just heard the sad news that Rob Hirst has passed away. Loved the Oils in the 80's, but Rob just blew me away on the drums. For a fan, this one hurts.😢

Rest easy Rob. Your legend will live on for many, many years.

Was lucky enough to be at Oils on the water. One of my friends from school lived on Goat Island. His dad was a ship builder and worked in the ship repair yard. Managed (deliberately) to be on holidays and staying there at the time of the concert. Jan 1985. :)

That would have been amazing to see live. Best I got was listening to it on the radio, and now watching it on YouTube. Awesome band back in the day.

They’ve kinda become a meme (google their name) but Angine de Poitrine are a really interesting act. Some of their riffs slap harder than pretty much anything I’ve heard, other stuff seems really jarring. Sometimes both at the same time.

It’s a really intriguing style, plus there’s a big helping of weirdness on top with their costumes and commitment to the bit.
