The Heat....

42.4 outside but I'm fine with a fan inside. Day 1 of heat is never too bad in my 70s brick apartment. 3 or 4 days in a row hurt.

Got a nice garden with big trees outside . Going to jump in the pool at the leisure centre post cricket.

If it’s 1970’s it’s probably double brick which is even better insulation but as you said once it heats up it sucks.

I've had to stay inside with the a/c on all day. My neurological illness plays havoc with me regulating body temperature. Being able to sweat to keep cool is a problem. If I'd go outside for any length of time when the air temperature is above 25 or so, my body could overheat. That's why I hate the summer here at times, but like winter. And there ain't no effin snow!

It ended up getting to 47.3 degrees at my place, can’t imagine what the ambient road heat would have been.
Or the inside of a parked car.

That's rough mate, sorry to hear that. I'm not as severe as yours but anything over 28 just drains me very quickly. The meds I take for my autoimmune illness give me hot flushes along with fatigue which intensify on days like this so I'm pretty similar. I have the AC off now but I am in my room with a big fan blasting.

Dog walking in arvos can hold off the next couple of days.

Synged pads = burnt feet.
My brother in Phoenix gets up just before dawn in the summer to take his dogs for a walk. Gets up to 40+ almost every day in the summer. Only problem is the rattlesnakes which tend to be out early each day.

Those poor cupcakes.

did some washing. So much fun knowing it was going to take bugger all time to dry

Highlight of hot weather for me is the fast drying washing, and drying off within seconds after showering :D.

For me the first day is an adjustment but I live for multiple hot days in a row. What I dislike is having a few hot days, then 1-2 cooler days then back to boiling hot again for more days in a row. Purely because my body needs to adjust again lol.

Also I had issues sleeping on Tuesday night when the weather wasn't as bad as last night. Yet I had a much better sleep overnight (6 hours!!).
