35 now, gone down 10 degrees in 20mins!
Perhaps the sudden change will bring a thunderstorm? Can't see much on the radar but you never know with a rapid temperature change.

Gone back up to 42 degrees in SW Vic where I live, so yeah, no cool change for us any time soon at the very least.

You got those two around the wrong way mate, was 44.3 yesterday and 45.1 today. Incredible though. Two of the five hottest days ever recorded, back to back, and the two hottest days in 70 years. Amazing.

Still 41 up here in Bendigo with 43 predicted for tomorrow. No relief in sight for us. Last four days have been 38, 42, 43 and 42.

And this is what their predicting for the next 6 days...

43, 39, 38, 36, 37, 40

Gotta love summer in the country!

That sucks big time.

Next seven days in my neck of the woods: 44, 44, 42, 42, 41, 41, 43. Got up to 43 today after being 41 yesterday and the day before. That makes for 10 consecutive days of 40+. With the two days before the streak being 38, it has not been at all fun.

In a week it's only going to be 35. :(

As I mentioned early in this thread, on the first day of the heatwave I bought 18 of the foil reflector sheets that you put on the dashboard to keep your car cool. I have covered all the windows in my house with them and it has made a huge difference.

My heating thermostat in the hallway shows the house is 27 degrees. This is still too bloody hot for me, so I can understand why all of you are complaining. You guys should try the same thing. The whole exercise only cost me $45 for the 18 reflector sheets.

The only good thing about the heat is that the power went off in our office at lunchtime today. Our electrician came and said a city power transformer had blown and there is no way it will be fixed before tomorrow. No air con, no lights and no computers meant that we can't do much. The boss bought us a gelati each and sent us home at 1.45pm:thumbsu:

Stop cutting my ****en power!!!!!!!
I just had to play and hour and a half of Hearts on the laptop. Reminded me of work pre-internet!

I had fun watching near collisions of the lightless intersection near me. Some pricks just don't give a shit. Usually driving modified Commies.

600,000 homes without power according to the news flash on the cricket.

The other day I went through a lightless intersection which then came back online as I drove through. Red light camera flashed, don't know if it got me or the bloke going the other way but fair to say I won't be too happy if I get a ticket.

Heatwave is starting to get to me. Considering I wear shorts through most of the Adelaide Hills winter (just generally a warm person) I'm keen as mustard for some relief.

That's what I was taking about.

Sanca = South Australian National Cricket Assocation.

I think the cool change may be coming. 37 now.

Edited for accuracy...hee hee.

This deserves more credit. :D

27 on Friday... just as it starts cooling down I'm leaving Melbourne. Going to Perth tomorrow week, you can bet your arse it will be hot over there by then.

it's 2am in Melbourne, 1:30am in Adelaide.

currently 23.8C in Melbourne :thumbsu:

but 33.8C in Adelaide

OK Adelaide, you win!
