Did anyone else catch The Hives tonight at The Forum? Pretty kickarse band - lots of fun! If you get the chance to see them do it!

Here's a photo from the show and more can be seen here.

yer i went. insane concert. there soooooooooo good live.
those stage divers were funny as well. idiots. but funny.

i was there... liked the covers they did, especially the first one... what was that called? pretty cool to hear them play those for the first time... although would've liked AKAIDIOT and abra cadaver to be included too...

i think it was the best hives show I've seen (4 times now including once in Sweeden)... I guess that because they haven't played for a couple of months, they really enjoyed being back on stage...

Oh, right. So this isn't a thread about The Hives, just a desperate "OMG look at my fotos!!!111" effort. Good job.

Hey - if you've got it flaunt it!

Truly spectacular show though.

I can't go to their show in Perth because of work  never seen them before and one of my favourite bands.

The Hives > work

Take a sickie - it's the great Aussie way!

will be tearing falls in Lorne a new one quite shortly... Pelle had his best line that i've heard in between songs at the gig last night.

went something like "We love you Melbourne. You have streets named after 2 of our favourite people in rock and roll... AC/DC... And Batman"

coming out of a sweede's mouth it was quite amusing...

Thought they were insane. You can really tell that they love performing and pleasing their fans, they did 4 or 5 songs for the encore!

The cover called "Stormy Weather" surely isn't that 1940's song, is it?
If it is, then they are even cooler!

My equal favourite show I've ever been to, and I thought the song list was perfect. Might travel interstate to see them again.

EDIT: No more tix

i'll tell you who/what is > than the hives:

Refused.

Yes, but I still love The Hives, though.

Really wish I went and saw them. They were ace at the 05 BDO, just ooze charisma and are a great, fun band to watch.

Haha one of his memorable calls from the Marion Bay gig -

"If you see someone throw shit at me, punch them in the throat!"

pretty sure it is... i found a video on youtube of the version which best represented it, but i can't seem to find it now...

without ever revolutionising music, they are the most fun band to have around for a party

i was there to see them at marion bay and they were a lot of fun to be around. they were also very well dressed also :)

Second best live act I've ever seen in my short gig-going career. Absolutely went off at falls, brought the new year in brilliantly, worked the crowd well and were a great unit.

Just saw em at Southbound.

Didn't know much of their stuff before, but within that one hour I became a massive fan of it.

Quite possibly the BEST live act I've ever seen and the energy they brought to the stage was just amazing.

Definitely...I headed over to WA and went to Southbound...they are really amazing performers. Arrogant, but it works.

The arrogance is all part of the performance. Whether it's genuine or not is irrelevant. They act like rockstars ... they are rockstars. They're definitely rockstars. They make me wanna be arrogant. These days I walk around the house yelling in a Swedish accent ... "Mummy and Daddy, put your hands in the air ... STOP!
Mummy and Daddy, jump up and down! ... Stop!
Mummy and Daddy, clap your hands AND jump up and down ... STOP!
I am The Norm and I can make you people do whatever I want to!"

The Norm is just recycling Simple Simon. Simple Simon says "sit down".

i saw them at southbound and i can safely say that the vocalist wishes he was dennis lyxzén.
