I was wrong about Joel Selwood struggling this year, I was wrong about Richmond finishing top 4 (very wrong), but I was right about Scott Selwood not playing till after the halfway mark of the season. Hardly devastated to be wrong about those two predictions but thought I'd at least own up to it.

I was convinced Menzel was finished.
I held out no hope for his return, and was completely certain that even if he made any sort of a comeback, it would be as a shell of the player he was.
Menzel circa 2016 has proven otherwise.

Also wrong about Richmond finishing above Quivorir but not wrong about Norf being pretenders. That is a fact.

How is it fact? We beat all the teams we should have beat except for Port Adelaide.
You lost to Carlton, St Kilda and Collingwood. If anything were are exactly where we should be and real.
I think many of us realised we had this wrong 10 weeks ago.
You won 10 in a row and then lost to the following contenders: Sydney, Hawfs, Geelong, Adelaide and West Coast.
If I hazard a guess I'd say you are 2 wins and 5 losses against the top 8? Not good for a premiership contender and therefore make Norf are a pretender.

Who said we were premiership contenders? The media were never on board for our streak so certainly not them. I am a firm believer this was our last shot before rebuild but with the likes of Geelong, Sydney and Hawks going up another level that door shut pretty quickly.

I got no doubt we will make it. But passing Geelong would require us to get very lucky a 3rd year in a row.
