Didn't simmo say JK heard a pop? That, combined with the way JK dropped makes me doubtful it's just a strain.

Maybe JK heard the Chardonnay set of fans Popping a bottle ..

*Ok I'll find my own way out ..

JK was on 6PR this morning. I can't remember if he said how many weeks, but he's icing it intermittently around the clock to handle the swelling and will look to start a light jog next week. He said it's turned out to be just a calf issue but he was worried there for a while. Based on that, missing 3 weeks (2 games) is sounding close to the money.

Hackdorn said Kennedy had been having injections in his achilles recently?

Either way i think 3 weeks is at the extremely optimistic end of the spectrum. Hopefully we don't rush him back and kill him.
Also said JK was going to miss the rest of the season in 2015 with his elbow injury...........

Haggers got torched by some lady out at Claremont prior to his bit. Was quite good really.

I still hope we make sure Kennedy is right before he returns and don't let him Scooter Selwood himself trying to get up for the team.

Could be a blessing....

Will make the forward line far less predictable. Also hoping Darling will step up and play more like his 2nd (?) year when JK was out.

Lots of opportunities for guys to step up.
Jacky boy to finally break lose and make Jono Brown cream his fillet.

imagine how hard we would melted if we found out jk did his Achilles after he had sorbess there.

Soleus runs behind the Achilles (could explain the soreness before the injury), but again there's a simple physical examination for a ruptured Achilles. Amazed that pundits called an Achilles when the medicos did these routine tests and suspected a muscle tear instead.

The 'pop' noise is the worry. Best mate did his achilles with a full tear whilst playing soccer, said it was like a shotgun going off and it rolled up the back of his leg. Another friend of mine did a minor achilles tear and said it sounded like a pop when it happened. We were watching the game yesterday and the moment he saw the vision he said achilles.

Tell Doc Larkins hi next time you watch the footy with him.

I just searched what it means when you grab your calf on one of those online dictionary things:

Calf Grab- to grab ones calf vigorously, and hold on until sexually satisfied.

Boy: Wow that was amazing...

Girl: Yeah your really good at the "Calf Grab!"

Boy: Im just a natural. I love me some calves.

So yeah...3 weeks i guess.

I'm salty as **** to find out he's been playing with achilles soreness, club just seems to have an attitude of running blokes into the ground until they break instead of managing people more pro-actively. End of the day you'd probably still play Kennedy because we don't have a plan b for kicking winning scores but if he's teetering on the edge of blowing out a calf maybe change the game plan up a little and give him some support so he's not getting smashed by 3 defenders every forward entry.

3 weeks would be great, if he's fit. Worry that they'll rush him back in like they did NicNat last year and then something else happens and he misses finals. I hope the club just takes its medicine and tries out multiple forward options and doesn't rush him back underdone. We can probably expect the first thing they'll try is bringing Le Cras back in and sitting Petrie at FF. Which does precisely nothing in terms of list development. Then its a bye, then it might be Govs turn and then he's back...

Just preparing myself for the inevitability they'll deny Lamb a call up.

Not so sure Lamb is the answer to replace Kennedy, but not adverse to him getting a call up as a HFF for starters and see how he goes.

There is no direct replacement for Kennedy. Thing I like about Lamb though is he's taller than Darling and has a bigger tank than Masten, kicking 6 in a WAFL game a few weeks back didn't hurt him either. Kennedy is our hardest working forward, Petrie or Gov aren't going to be replicate his running patterns they'll likely just hang around in the goal square as stay at home FFrds. Given his hight Lamb is going to demand a tall defender, given his running capacity he can at the very least continually draw his defender away from the contest which makes life a little easier for others down there. To be honest this is whats shit me most about him not playing a single game since round 1 2015, the ability to occasionally give Darling a better match up and Kennedy one less defender to deal with. Le Cras plays as a 3rd tall or 8th midfielder and more often than not he's not good enough for either so its like playing a man down whether he's kicking goals or not, and its ofter not.

A 2018 forward line of Kennedy, Darling, Rioli, Lamb rounded out by Jetta and Cripps as the ones helping out midfield looks a lot more dangerous and accountable than what we have now with Hill and Le Cras. This is as good an opportunity as we're ever going to get to give a 3rd year player who impressed more than most do on debut a long awaited 2nd game.

Kingy mentioned he would love for the AFL to be more transparent on gameday in regards to injuries so fans can have some information on what the injury is and the sort of time frame ect. Like i know it wont be accurate at a lot of the time scans are needed but it does get annoying when there is an injury and as a fan i just want to know what the injury is and not have to search social media for it.

Simmo name dropping barass. interesting as i wouldn't think he would be the lead up type and someone that would give you repeat leads as his tank isnt up to scratch. I actually wouldnt mind seeing him at FF while Someone like a lamb/mcinnis/schofield at CHF and darling as third tall. mean while TB/jd/fmac (of who ever share sencond ruck duties). Emac returns to full back or maybe schoey if he doesnt get a forward gig.

Total anti Lamb conspiracy, Simmo confirmed vegetarian. He also said he was going to play Jack Darling in the ruck against the Bulldogs in that prelim then bought in Brown and Giles, so like Lamb Simmo's mid week selection pontifications are best taken with a pinch of salt.

I'd enjoy seeing Barrass have a go at FF though, if it meant Le Cras still missed out and Lamb came in anyway.

Everyone can have a go at the lib for playing sore players but let's get a few facts correct.
1) if Kennedy want fit enough to play, he wouldnt. Mitchell wasn't fit enough to play vs Hawks and he didnt.
2) if you not sore halfway through the season then your either a) not trying hard enough or b) a softy that doesn't put his body on the line.
Players play sore all the time.

Just spotted JK driving a furniture removal truck around Whitfords, calf must be feeling alright if hes moving furniture.

Maybe he is moving Mastens furniture out of his house before he trains/plays it down in the WAFL...

JK owns a business ...Sleepies or similar name , sells beds maybe Josh can employ Chris Masten as a Sales Rep .

Good news that Josh is moving around okay .

I heard he declined mastos job applications due to his tatts. Sales rep have to be presentable.

It was for his other business "Josh Kennedys Small Moves" thats how i clicked it was him.
Don't think Masten would get a sales rep job with all those Tatts.
