interesting wonder where the green come from would love to some images of the old kit may change it up a bit

When the KNFL and TFL merged in 1993, Edenhope were black and red so Leeor had to change.
Kaniva didn't need to change as no one had that guernsey. As for the green in Kaniva-Leeor? Not sure where it came from.

Kanvia-Leeor keep the same home kit now with green and white alt kits, Kanvia have a retro dogs logo and jersey while Leeor has green and white branding like the NYC jets and an Essendon bomber logo and a swooping jet jersey which makes the merger seem balanced explaining the green and stips on the modern merged kit

Quick history lesson: When Kaniva & Districts (The Bulldogs, who wore the Footscray jumpers) merged with Leeor (The Bombers originally, who wore Essendon jumpers, before changing to the Jets and a Fitzroy style jumper when the KNTFL was formed) they become the Boomers and wore North Melbourne jumpers. When they merged the VCFL offered subsided jumpers if you picked one that matched an AFL team. The Dockers and Nth Melb were the only two jumpers that were available that wouldn't clash with any of the other KNTFL teams, so in a close vote, the North jumper was picked and the name Boomers with it.

That was all good for a bit, but with Apsley wearing Collingwood jumpers, Bordertown wearing Red and White stripes, Penola whinging that they had those colours, and Lucindale believing they had the rights to the Kangaroo logo (and even threatened legal action), a change was made. The Cougars name was adopted and the green was added for a point of difference.

For Heywood, they keep its current logo now stretched across the classic lions kit with white outlined numbers and line and collar and cuffs and then a yellow version of the kit and a white inverse their old jersey is their retro kit now. may do other leagues such as the SWDFL unsure give me a league to do and ill think about it

Update on the new league its informal name is the south-east football League (probably will change to close to mse) Penola recently had a vote on whether to join or not it was only 60% of the club but they all said yes another vote will be held later with he full club the sanfl and others to make this go through and talk is ramping up about port mac joining which seems likely with robe and the kntfl keen on robe moving

For Cavendish i changed the red to a blood red since they are the bloods and i added butcher stripes to the kits with a new monogram outlined with a white version for a clash. their previous jersey is now a retro kit

The swans guernseys in the bulldog diamond were elite. Loved them. Was shattered when they switched. It was so unique.
most merged teams go by giants now and use that kit, disappointing they killed their identity, Jezza played in that kit was nice to change the identity for him but the club won cups as the swans its a good way to show both eras
