"There is no doubt the Dockers need another strong inside clearance winner."

What the actual ****? Three blokes writing an article and they can't get the simple stuff right. Valente can't get a game and was highly rated in that exact role.

I think we all know how I feel about the Hogan trade, but **** off we ship him out for a 3rd rounder.

It annoys me so much that people are dreadful at their jobs.

Yep, didn't read any other teams but ours was just crap. Not a lot of effort gone into it at all.

Maybe they did try, the are just to **** to know what they are talking about.

I mean, JL even told them if they ever watch his press conferences, that we don't need inside mids but do need outside speed and another ruck/forward. So even the most gumby journalist could just go Polec and Wright and it is at least consistent with that.

I think that's what really is the most grinding. all these muppets get PAID to write to this stuff. Their job is to watch football. Its astonishing they could have so little clue

I saw that expletive on the siren. It never crossed my mind that it was anything but annoyance that the siren went just as we were about to go forward. Total garbage by the press.
Thats what i took from it. Walters just into the clear in the centre corridor, about to go forward and siren goes. Turns to the scoreboard, looks at the time on the clock and probably the score and goes **** you

Hard to believe we let Barlow go to give Blakely more time in the middle. lol.

Do Mundy or Walters have any boys?

When she said something like 'It'd be just my luck if Freo caused an upset' postgame talking about her preparation for the game, it told you all you needed to know. She came with a bunch of pre-rehearsed lines to wax lyrical about the Tigers and just forced them into the game with no nuance or feeling for the action, and didn't even bother preparing anything for Fremantle. Awful commentator.
It was a bit of a nothing game on paper to give her for a commentary return but you'd think Fremantle making a game of it would help her but she just stuck to the script.

Still on par with most Channel 7 commentators for me though.

Think they mentioned Mundy has three boys? Mundy to Mundy to Mundy?
iirc from his 300th Mundy has 2 boys and a girl. walters has 3 x girls and willo has a son i think

Exactly. I assumed the media were referring to some other time. What rubbish.

Even though we have gone off topic a bit with this chain I went and had a look and we could be seeing a couple Pavlich's in the purple just gotta wait 13-14 years! should be about the time we have next gen Mundy's too. ;)

i for one endorse the prospect of seeing Mundy kicking to Pavlich circa 2035

Fremantle Dockers defender Reece Conca is shutting down the AFL’s best players week-in, week-out

Reece Conca held Dustin Martin to his lowest disposal count in seven years in Richmond’s win over Fremantle on Wednesday.
It was a significant sub-plot in what was ultimately a disappointing result for the Dockers, but rather than a surprise, it was just the latest in a series of high-profile scalps taken by the defender this season.
Being stuck on Martin would be a task many would fear, the 2017 Brownlow medallist usually averages 20 disposals a game and can turn a game in seconds. But last night, according to Champion Data, Conca kept Dusty to nine of his 11 disposals for the match.
The former Tiger is finding his niche down back under coach Justin Longmuir this season, taking the most dangerous small/medium forward each week and coping well with all of them.

Speaking after the loss to Richmond, Longmuir said Conca had a significant influence in his match-up on Dusty.
“Outstanding, thought he did it by the book, played the role that we asked of him,” he said.
“Reece has been doing that for a fair bit of time now for us, he is a leader of our club and he stood up.”
Fremantle have won three of their last six games, but Conca seems to consistently do his job.
In Freo’s round 14 loss to GWS, he harassed Toby Greene to the point that he spat the dummy and threw his elbow back to give Conca a piece of his mind. It’s easy to see why, Greene only managed 10 disposals and one goal.
Conca showed you can hit back without actually using your fists.

Prior to GWS it was Swan Tom Papley, Fremantle got the win this round, and Conca may have been a reason. Papley had only seven disposals.
The list of star matchups goes on for Conca, keeping Carlton’s star forward Eddie Betts to a low five disposals and one minor score. Hawthorn’s Luke Breust managed just three disposals and one major.
When moved onto Steele Sidebottom in the round nine clash against Collingwood, Conca kept him reasonably quiet with 10 disposals of his 25 from the game, again according to Champion Data.

Conca missed out on the 2017 Richmond premiership and there is no doubt he is hungry for a trophy.
With the Dockers’ list developing around him, his latest role is keeping him in the mix to hold his side when the club is ready to challenge for one of their own.

I have thought about contacting the club re a breeding program being established between the best players from our men’s/women’s teams. Allowing for personal preferences and attractiveness perhaps a lab based program would be best? What could go wrong? 😎Probably should be in the List Management thread.

Yeah I think the political and cultural climate these days is primed for that sort of thing...

Oh totally. No ethical issues at all. Like all great ideas you have to wonder “ why wasn’t this thought of earlier?”🤔
