On the train home from the derby there was a mother all decked out in Freo gear with her son all in West Coast gear looking a bit sad. I was annoyed with myself for not having a Freo cap I could give the kid to cheer him up (and encourage him to convert to the good guys).

Was thinking at the time it was a missed opportunity for the Freo membership team. Just have a bunch of cheap hats to give to kids who like to change teams based on who wins the game.

Kudos to you for doing god's (Pav) work educating your wife about the right team choice.

They’d get zero respect from just about everyone. Gaff can count himself lucky it’s only on one occasion per season and he hasn’t been labeled with the criminal record which sits over him for life. In any other situation, including lower levels of football, he wouldn’t be so lucky. He would’ve probably only just been released.
