Peter Wright got it ahead of Darcy either last year or the one before for the same reason Allen could be picked ahead of Darcy this year.

They've named the only other person who has been able to potentially be played in the ruck, but picked them because they would be a forward. Otherwise Darcy is the only player able to be picked.

As good as Allen is he is not in the same league as the Kings or Naughton. The kings in particular can do everything he can do, but are 10cm taller. Think you can find a place for him on the bench though. Quite versatile.
