You don’t like the cost of the watchafl app? Did you buy a separate subscription? I get the digital Freo membership, which gives you a subscription for less than buying the subscription separately. Considering you get all games on demand, all AFL specials, and all fox footy shows (most are sh*te, I know) I don’t think $150 US is too bad. I didn't even know about the digital membership, i'll have a look at it. I pay the 155 euros for a yearly subcription with WatchAfl (thats around 250 aud).

Yes I use Kayo, my new smart TV has it built in. It’s great. But not having unmetered data on Telstra 4G sucks. I watched a couple of BBL games on my iPad on holiday recently & it cost me $20 in extra data. Just ridiculous.

I do think it only works with newer versions of Chromecast though. If you have a smart TV then you might have the app on your TV or be able to install it at least.

If you are looking to buy a Chromecast spend a little bit extra & buy the Chromecast ‘Ultra’. I had an old one I was given from a mate and it lagged but after I bought the Ultra it streamed perfectly

I went on the Freo website and I don't see the digital international membership anymore. I got one for this year, but I wonder if they are discontinuing it?

Champion Data ratings / predictions are a complete waste of column inches. But it gets clicks.

It was because McPharlin didn't get enough points in moving the ball forward (insert clip of McPharlin tackling, holding the ball, long kick inside fifty to Longmuir mark, St Kilda tears).

They have players who are listed as midfielders/forwards and they are rated elite because they get huge numbers of possessions for a forward... because they play in the midfield.

I know there are little off shoot companies that utilise the network that may be viable.

Be careful of committing to smaller companies that use the [Insert phone company] "network". They lease access to individual tower space, not necessarily the whole network. They often don't have access to specific towers that have low usage - these are often single towers that are based close to mining / resource camps.

I've been caught out a few times.

I just play the games on my laptop and connect it to my tv with an HDMI cable. Works like a charm.

Do you have a link? As I could only find a membership for $70 but it didn't mention having access to live streaming games, just a digital membership, and you get some badge and some other crap I don't really want.

I’m assuming Menongola and Collins? Could have easily have been three if Roberton didn’t have his heart issues.

Meh, we don't have a pressing need for Sam Collins, as even a hastily assembled, Frankenstein of a back line, proved to be elite - let alone our regular assembly. Sam Menegola smells a little funky though. Then again, at the time, he wasn't of the calibre required. Players enhance their skills overtime, see fortune on the injury front, and ingrain proper application and mental fortitude into their training regimes. It is what it is.

I emailed the club today and this is not available at the moment given the ongoing negotiations for the broadcast deal

There’s no chance I’m paying $245 for the afl subscription, so it’s looking like another season of dodgy streams for me

Geez bunch of penny pinching whiners in here. If your a Freo fan and love footy, just get a Kayo subscription (and you get heaps more sports too like the Super Bowl this Monday)
