Massive call.
The Lynch she’s talking about won’t be in the AFL system next year so it really isn’t.

Most of you could do much more with this, but I couldn't resist a quick conversion of the Brisbane Lions team song (which sadly has a great classic tune aka "The Marseillaise"): etc. etc.
After posting this little hymn of dislike I had a small twinge of conscience.
On the Match preview thread I asked anyone with a head for stats to tell me if/why I was being unreasonable re our unfavourite ump. One reply (Snuph?) said he wasn't villainous but inept/inadequate. Others reasonably pointed out how tough it was to be an ump.
Whether or not I sign up for the reeducation camp, I guess I'll just see what happens tomorrow and try REALLY hard to reserve judgement for his last match.
I too loved the players during the CC days but there's a bit of rose-tinted glasses going on here. There were some appalling performances from our group in those times and if it wasn't for Pav scoring the bags of goals that he did I shudder to think where we'd be now.
We really had spark in those years.
Players like Crowley would play with their hearts on their sleeves.
The crowd would be small but mental. 20,000 fans would crush a full stadium of eagles in noise & atmosphere.
West coast couldn't get close to us in Derby's. Happy days.
The last 6 years have been miserably flacid.
Flacid is the perfect word for Freo this year and the five years prior to this.More on Mundy
When you are low down on the ladder in tipping you gotta throw a few hail mary's to gain ground.A bit of blind faith from Michael barlow perhaps only one who tipped Freo

That's kind of true, but that 2006 prelim final team had a bottom 6 of Schammer, Webster, Murphy, Peake, Dodd, and Mcmanus, so I understand why it didn't make it any further.Big time. I respect Cuddles but his era of inconsistency and not hitting our potential was infuriating. We had a legit team in 04 - 06.
darcy no question.Sure is has been mentioned a fair bit but luke darcy is a real spud. Not sure if it's him or BT who i dislike more.
I think Piggy Smalls makes a really good point about Longmuir and Hale both being forward/rucks, and suggests that is a limiting factor.Technically Treacy and Tabs are both looking to Hale.
I think the biggest acquisition we should be making this off season is a decent forwards coach
Geez what's with all these Cuddles-era truthers coming of the woodwork? That side massively underperformed relative to the level of talent and experience in it, and the torching of the joint in 2007/8 in reaction to the failure we're only just getting over the legacy of now. He was a seriously ordinary coach.
Still the waddle out to the middle post (second) siren sirengate game with live with me always. Love ya Cuddles.

we get the win today. If it starts to get ugly & blow out, at least I have the full strength bar of the sports lounge directly behind me to numb the painI’m going straight therewe get the win today. You do make valid points. I think Perth's own Adam Papalia is an outstanding talent. I like sports callers who describe the action not talk about facts that don't matter or repeat things over and over during game. When Darcy does this it really does irk me.BT actually knows how to call play with excitement and has a distinct personality. You may think he overdoes the excitement, you may think his personality is cringeworthy, but it's his own and it's distinctive. Some of our best moments had BT as the caller (any Ballantyne goal for example)
Luke Darcy is just bland in every sense of the word. His presence in the commentary box and media in general is pure cronyism, same as Hamish. He is a cardboard cutout. He's just kind of...there. There are so so many fantastic callers in lower leagues who would lift the standard of the coverage immeasurably but they'll never get a go thanks to the AFL's pervasive jobs for the boys ethos.
I really hope we preference coaches with experience and results.Would froth so hard if Pav took over as forwards coach
