Finally finished Arrested Development - never hit the heights of the first three seasons but there were glimpses. Finale was okay and satisfying enough - overall a wonderful comedy which launched the careers of several of its stars. A worthy enough binge, especially S1-3 and you can also stop before S4 and it doesn't matter really in the grand scheme of the plot.

S1-3 - 10/10
S4-5 - 5/10
i pretty much do a rewatch of the 1st 3 seasons every year. It is so good. Probably more great jokes per minute than any other TV show i can remember

I probably should start a rewatch too especially with imminent lockdowns.

What's your view on S4 and S5? I personally don't think it's as bad as some on the internet make it out to be but it sort of lost the spirit of the first three seasons.

i agree with you, I dont know if tyou know but they actually remixed season 4 so there is 2 versions of season 4 but i would rate the seasons 1 and 2 as 10/10 season 3 8/10 and season 4 and 5 6/10. I dont have the need to rewatch those seasons though

Yeah I watched the Remixed version but I actually preferred the original. Less narration needed to explain the plot and I liked how over the course of the season you saw how each Bluth managed to fit in with other story lines, of course culminating in Cinco de Quatro at the end. Maybe I'm one of the few that liked that style of story-telling as popular demand led to the Remixed.

The first half of season 5 was pretty boring, but it wasn't horribly bad like season 4. I didn't realise they'd finally released the second half of season 5 onto Netflix yet. Just put it on now ...

S4 was a fair bit different from S3, that partially explains it. Still, it was pretty mediocre no matter how you dice it, just never really felt like Arrested Development.

S5 is more true to the spirit of the characters (with growth in the relationship between Michael and George Michael while the other characters are still pretty much the same as when they started) and I think it had a fitting ending. Please don't make a Season 6, Netflix (although I imagine ones like Jason Bateman, Michael Cera, Will Arnett and Portia de Rossi may have zero interest in returning anyway and Jeffrey Tambor has controversy now).

Just binge watched The End of the ******* World. What a great show.

Haven't caught the second season yet, is it alright compared to the first? Wasn't really sure how they were gonna do a second, the first arc comes together so brilliantly.

Greatest Events of WW2 In Colour is a great watch. They've got 10 episodes, all very well restored and very well presented in terms of the history and narrative.

Watch the Ken Burns documentary on WWII, it's fascinating to see the war from an American perspective rather than a British one.

I find that most of the content on Netflix is hidden. Occasionally I come across a film by accident that I had no idea was on this streaming service.

I uses this for whatever streaming service i have and check it daily for whats been added to Netflix. You can also search a particular movie or TV series and it well tell what streaming service has it.

I've seen his Vietnam War series, didn't realise there was a WW2 one as well.

Four Wallace and Gromit films on at the moment. The best animated franchise of all time.

Watched 22 July, The movie is base on one the worst mass shootings, by one person in history, which happen on a Norwegian island, directed by Paul Greengrass of Jason Bourne fame, Cast is Norwegian but they speak in English,
thought it was good, but a bit overlong particularly the aftermath

Yeah, I thought there would be more focus on the actual shooting.
