I’ve been absolutely racing through Ozark. So good.

Getting really keen for The Last Dance as well.

So damn good. At various stages you hate each character, things flip, and then things flip back. S3 is the best of the lot, steps it up another notch.

Bingeing on Community with more time on my hands. Season 1 was great but season 2 is outstanding. F#cks around with pop culture conventions in a glorious way. Nothing I've seen quite like it.

Just finished Season 1 of Altered carbon. My mind is full of fu**.

It gets worse :(

heard that. ill look for something else to watch

It's not bad or anything but doesn't live up to the standard of S1.

Anthony Mackie cannot act his way out of a wet paper bag.

Season 2 is the high point of the whole series run. Season 1 struggled to get the cast interactions just right, but still has some great episodes once they find their feet. Season 3 is still very, very good, but not quite as brilliant. The quality dropped off a cliff in Season 4 (when the creator was fired and Pierce left the cast) and to be honest, Season 5 when he came back wasn't all that much better (not helped by Troy leaving the cast too). But Season 6 was the best of the later seasons and was on par with Season 3. Not many people saw it originally because it was put out through Yahoo trying to break into the streaming market.

I really thought the Circle Brazil would be hard to beat as the best of the series but The Circle France takes it up a notch. Its like a Napoleonic war but funny and has the sexy french accents. If you like reality TV shows like Survivor this is the show for you

Finishing the end of ep8 of Brazil, and I can see want you meant about the Brazilian version being brutal. JP is a little salty regarding Lucas, and is now on the rampage trying to get rid of Lorayne :hearts: and Akel. And everyone's too dumb to realize what is happening.

Does everyone else find Netflix “too white”? Even Channel 9 has some US shows with other races... but Netflix just seems white central.

Thanks, pretty much what I've heard. My attention span doesn't usually allow me to finish entire runs anyway, so reckon Season 3 will probably see me out

there are heaps of shows from all over the world. You want to see "black" films, type a name in such as say #blackaf and see whats related and heaps will come up. It recommends shows on what you watch so maybe you are watching too many "white" films yourself?

I don't think people realise the degree to which Netflix guesses what shows you want to see, based on your viewing habits so far.

You will see the popular new shows listed, and big shows, but after that, it's just a selection picked for you.

I'd never noticed, but as other people suggested, it's probably algorithm-based. That being said, if you look at lists of the best Netflix original series, it is pretty much white central.

Agree with the above few. To depends on what you watch as to what appears in suggested.

As for the one exactly above, I don’t think it white centric. They do original shows from all over the world, and this shows the diversity. I think, unless you’re into international content, you’re watching original US content which could be white centric

1876 TV shows on Netflix Australia according to

A brief scroll bought up shows from all over, most of which I never heard of.

Agree that there are a lot of different shows from all over the world.

I think that's about as close to my observation. To be specific, the netflix US Netflix originals seem very white. Just picking some random ones from the list below- I thought besides "Dear White People" and "On the Block, most were very white. I am not suggesting anything deliberately wrong, rather just a trend I felt. Netflix did have Dolomite movie with Eddie Murphy and comedy specials with Wanda Sykes, etc. But some of their original tv series are a lot of hit and miss.

In part, I was a bit cheese off with the casting of "I am not okay with this"

This showed scrawny white girl gaining superpowers and how she was a miserable victim. And, in my mind, I felt the Miles Morales version of Spiderverse felt more credible despite it being a cartoon.

I’m 2 episodes into season 2 of Ozark and have no urge to watch it. I don’t understand why people say it’s a good show. Ive given it every chance but think I’m just gunna quit
