Brassic is great! It's set not too far away from me, it's beautiful countryside, but Jeez, it's rough! Kinda in the same vein as Shameless, yes, but a more likeable lead in Vinnie.

How did I miss this show? It's brilliant. Mostly comedy but plenty of poignant moments too.

Did you guys ever get Misfits? Quite a few years ago now, and Vinnie (Joe Gilgun) was in that too, although not in the first couple of seasons, if I remember right. Great cast, and a really good series.

Saddest thing about Brassic in the UK was that it was on a channel that a lot of people don't have. I think, if it had been on the BBC or C4, it would have been much bigger.

The documentary about the Astroworld Concert tragedy was pretty horrible to watch. I don't think I've ever heard of it before, but those poor kids and what they went through because basically the concert organisers didn't plan it correctly was criminal negligence, IMHO. Yet, somehow, they got off and faced no repercussions for it, and ten people died as a result of what happened. In the USA, justice wavers when big money is involved, it seems.

There is one guy who said at the start, "You don't expect these sorts of things to happen at music festivals." I kinda laughed at that naive comment, as many bad things have happened at huge concerts/festivals in the past.

I'm part way through Brassic season 3 and it's top quality. Michelle Keegan gives Catherine Zeta-Jones vibes. The soundtrack is amazing.

The writing is so good but I get the impression these comedy actors are having fun with the material, such as Dominic West as the doctor and Steve Evets as farmer Jim.

Another documentary worth watching was the one about OceanGate, the submersible that imploded while going to the wreck of the Titanic. It's a real eye-opener. The billionaire idiot behind it just persevered with this carbon fibre hull when it was clear from early on that it wasn't going to work. Carbon fibre, while strong, was never going to be able to withstand the pressure at 4000m down. The billionaire ahole sacked any staff who dared tell him it was doomed. Worth a look.

They did the tributes at the end with photos of everyone but for Stockton they just had the ocean.

I interpreted that as a little backhander to him and rightly so.

Talk about not learning from their mistakes.

Was the first thing I ever watched on Netflix.

The new trainwreck Poop Cruise is a bit of a let down compared to the other trainwreck docos which are generally brilliant (eg. Woodstock 99). If you can think about the most boring, sheltered drama queens freaking out about relatively mundane things for an hour with dramatic music you're basically there. Probably the best is a girl describing in great deal the horrors of having to pee in a shower with below average lighting.

Looking forward to watching this once we're done with House.

Sydney and Adelaide is an odd combo.
