If I was an Essendon fan I don't think I'd encourage generalising fan bases...Bulldogs fans are the new North fans.
And wouldn't you love to have a few of the younger players on our list in the red and black!!Bulldogs fans are the new North fans.

He played better against Adelaide, and only played 3 quartersLets see how stringer goes against a team that can actually defend, you played the lions nothing to write home about
I don't think OP realises how hard it is to kick 50 goals in a season of AFL. Last year 10 players in the league did it. You really think Jake Stringer is going to be a top 10 forward in the league this season?
Thoughts up until now Eski? Do you think his capable of doing so?
I would be surprised if he did. He is a good young forward in a similar league to Tom Lynch and Cam McCarthy. Playing a couple of good games doesn't make him a top 10 forward, he has a long way to go. Take out his games against Brisbane and Adelaide and he kicked 14 goals in 9 games

So take out the two gigantic bags that he kicked and he only got 14 in 9 games?
Correct.
I'm not saying he's a bad forward, but people are going a bit overboard on him
As if Freo wouldn't move heaven and earth to get Stringer.
He is a gun.
Of course we would, he is miles better than any of the young key forwards on our list. Just like how we would move heaven and earth to get McCarthy, Lynch, Bruce etc. Doesn't mean he isn't getting overhyped a bit
I don't understand why we have to immediately declare young players "the next big thing" after they have a good game. Stringer is a good young player who is playing well at the moment, let's just spare a bit of the hyperbole
Name any other young player in the league who has kicked 47 goals in a 19 game streak in which that 19 game streak comes within the first 38 games of their career.Of course we would, he is miles better than any of the young key forwards on our list. Cameron certainly did. 61 goals from games 20-38. Nobody was questioning at the time whether or not he was the next big think like Stringer, it was unanimous that he was.J Cameron would have surpassed this feat pretty comfortably. Had an amazing start to his career.
Hogan is on track, probably McCarthy as well, but Stringer is a different beast as he is not a full-time forward, spends time in the middle as well. Unique player.
GWS will be spewing they drafted two duds with pick 2 and 3 and left Stringer alone.
Actually looking at that, GWS's drafting in this draft is nothing short of atrocious.
