Ugledar has been one of the most hotly contested cities of the whole war - the Ukranians have mounted a spectacular defence against repeated Russian attacks.

Its where the Russians really have had the horror days of losing three figure troops numbers of many many vehicles in an hour or so that the propaganda pretends happen all the time.

Now the Russians haver cut the last supply route it is all over - this will be a real blow to already faltering Ukranian morale, so much blood spilled to defend this place.

Yes.

Its an incredible story. His broiher was on the same patrol and was taken away before he was told to stop him killing the people responsible. Apparently they used his story to ferment more war propaganda at last year's super bowl too.

He was shot by his own side in the weeks before he was planning to talk with Noam Chomsky and speak out against the war in Iraq which he considered illegal. I'm pretty sure his brother still thinks he was murdered, not killed by "friendly fire" accidently.

Army medical examiners were suspicious about the close proximity of the three bullet holes in Pat Tillman's forehead and tried without success to get authorities to investigate whether the former NFL player's death amounted to a crime, according to documents obtained by The Associated Press.

But his background, ie think his parents were hippies and he was to an extent as well, was part of the story. If even he believed in the righteousness of that cause then it had to be just and fair. My understanding is he turned down a multi million dollar contract extension from the Arizona Cardinals to join the US Army too. So he might not have been Charlie Curnow or LDU but he wasn't Tyler Sellers either.

How ****en weird is it that most of our young gun players were born after 9/11, some after the invasion of Iraq. I spose that's getting old for you. Still, kids growing up thinking the post 9/11 world is normal and not some Orwellian Dystopian Shithole is kind of strange and a little disturbing.
