So they've made it the road we all suspected which obviously means sack the selectors

Let's see both sides bat first. If England make 450+ first dig I expect we will collapse for SFA. Pressure doesn't seem to produce diamonds in The Australian side anymore

I blame the closure of Argyle.

We have Webster, Neser and Starc at 8/9/10, they'll make 450 themselves on this.

Can you really blame them? Ageing side etc. England obviously trying pretty hard to save face too
Should have used it as an opportunity to rest guys like Starc and Boland then and given guys like Richo and Connolly/Rocc a go (My Perth bias showing here, Murphy more likely probs)

Still have World Test Champs points on the line, don't want to throw them away

Zero false shots against other bowlers. But against Green, Brook slashed and missed twice, and Root skewed one over backward point. It’s not good, but the alternative is being milked at 5 an over without risk.

England happy to milk Green for 7 an over with a sniff of risk. The Bazball philosophy!

Green is trash tier this summer. I thought he did pretty good in the West Indies working his way back from the back issue, but it's like he has done zero red ball work in the interim.

Seems the type to enjoy the smell of his own farts and is getting an armchair ride from the selectors. Not sure where the incentive to improve is going to come from.

Not fit to tie Watto's shoelaces and in real danger of not being as good as the much maligned MMarsh.

See I think it's the exact opposite, he appears to be the only person alive who doesn't know how much talent he has and looks scared of failing whenever he's at the crease, but when he goes back to Shield cricket where he's proven himself he makes runs for fun.

I get the arguments for dropping him but if he can have that one break through knock he might never stop scoring. Annoyingly he had it in NZ but did his back straight after.
