Good to see nothing has changed with the VFL opps AFL a cross over game with North AFL starting 1 hour before the VFL well I suppose we are the NMFC and we continue take it up the Ar(e from the AFL over fixtures every year clashing with the VFL fixtures and we do nothing to stop it.

A few games that don’t back and a few clash games would have loved to have had a double header against Carlton at Marvel on Good Friday with VFL on 1st then AFL would have got the crowd in early and raised more $$$$ for the kids and the RCH but when you have Blue and White Stripes you don’t get that privilege but if our colours were Black and White you get everything but it helps when you have a loud mouth pig headed ar:ehole as president who has his media a:se lickers mates doing his dirty work mind you he has the time to do this now since his quiz show is no longer on TV

Sounds good in theory but the surface at Marvel Stadium is notoriously poor, extra games at the ground would surely just make things worse.

I reckon i've mentioned it in here before but it also costs a shit ton to add a curtain raiser.

Not at that time of year if the game was played in July I would agree with you and having experience in the Turf industry a double header wouldn’t hurt the ground as most people would think plus the ground has a roof and and it’s nots effective by the weather.
If been technically the NMFC type of Grand Final every year the more expose our whole list gets to play on this ground and by having a curtain raiser it’s get people in early so they get more excited and hope add $$$ to the RCH appeal.
But there again if Black and White get there hands on this game but they will say this is the way it is and the AFL will do its told.

String VFL team is a building block we need. And the knowledge that VFL players can be potentially drafted if they meet the system and standards.

All the AFL VFL teams will be strong. Other than Southport and maybe Werribee I think the stand alone clubs will struggle.

Cooper Trembath (key defender)
Jarrod Lienert (key defender)
Hamish Murphy (key defender)

Then obviously we’ve just added Sellers to our senior list.

I think it won’t matter as much this year as we actually have some depth in the ruck, key defender and key forward space on the AFL list.

Rucks: Free and Goad

Key defenders: A mix of Comben, Biggie, Pink, K.Dawson & W.Dawson (on top of VFL listed players)

Key Forwards: CCJ, Sellers and Maley

Our VFL team is going to be great to watch this year. Lots of hard luck stories of players missing out on a spot in the 1sts.

Everyone has done a best 22 so far, but the real challenge now is trying to put together a probable VFL round 1 team:

We finally have some depth that will see a pretty handy side line up, not taking into account any VFL players like Lowson or Leinart when there are injuries or holding over of players as the sub or emergencies etc.
