Incredibly tense atmosphere in Houston. Currently 12:30 in the morning over there.

Thought the Astros were home with that hit to 2nd in their third of the 9th. Best result for the neutral would be a Houston win, then LA taking game 6 to force a decider.

Thor - Ragnarok was hilarious!! Loved it!

Cannot decide. There was certain parts I loved. Others that seemed unnecessary or OTT.
Waititi as Korg was entertaining. Something about a Kiwi accent.

Definitely am one that suffers from superhero fatigue/saturation. DC and Marvel make too many of them imo. Not sure I’ll watch Justice League for that reason.

My father-in-law has about 24 magnificent tangelo trees surrounding their pool (for the Meditteranean look). He's too frail to pick them, so we head down to Melbourne on the weekend each year when the trees are absolutely full of fruit and we go completely nuts on them for a couple of days. We eat hundreds of them whilst we are picking the trees clean and end up with a couple of dozen boxes full to take back home with us. It's about all our family live on for the next few weeks. Freshly squeezed tangelo juice is the pinnacle of citrus juices.

This year's harvest was spectacular.

Glad I’m not the only one to have discovered this wonderful fruit, that’s surprisingly less known than I thought.

People looking for an all action, all excitement spectacle where you're on the edge of your seat all match are best looking for a sport other than baseball.

It's not supposed to be like that. It's more a thinking mans game than any other sport.

It's more a relaxing day out like Tests. Not hustle and bustle high octane action like other sports.
Of the 3 it's easily the most enjoyable to watch. NBA and NFL are rather meh.

NBA is ridiculous with stoppages. 7 x timeout for each side per game plus an official timeout each quarter 6 mins in (effectively splitting the game into 8ths). I've been to 3 NBA games in my life and left all of them early.

Also littered with super teams where only a couple have a realistic chance of winning. If that's what enthuses you then you might as well just watch Serie A and support Juve.

If given the choice I'd watch NBA til the end over NFL though. Just blah.

I swear we could've easily had an Associations Football World Series Thread, lol. (Go Rangers... sigh...)

As for American Sports, fun to play them in the game, but I think its one that you really need to get behind your team if you want to enjoy yourself. The investment has to be there.

That said, there are some things I can't wrap my head sometimes with Yankee sports. If I recall correctly, there's the 18-1 Superbowl. Pats had time for one more play in the 4th down, yet... no one bothered. Everyone was on the field, partying like the Miami Dolphins accomplished something massive (or in this case, avoided it). The players didn't look bothered to even try. I mean, come on, three points down, one last roll of the dice. Are you seriously telling me you're going to let it die like this?

Then there's the whole 'Running up the score' is an insult thing. Yeah alright, there are no %, but it just reeks of being a bad loser. If the other team wants to do so, it's at their own risk. The fact that this is even discouraged boggles me. I know there are cases where one team has taken advantage of this to mount a comeback and have been successful in it. It's just a bit weird for that mentality to even exist.

I like all of the Yankee sports to some degree. There are emphasis on different parts of it, and I can certainly appreciate them. But I don't they're very... neutral friendly.

They have just changed the time out system for late in games this season. Now each team only gets 2 timeouts in the last 3 or 4 minutes of game now. (not sure on the exact rule but its something like that) It's really made it better.

The only gripe I had with it and I guess it's not really a gripe... it's just that the first two Thor's were more serious. Where as this one is pretty much just a straight out comedy. Did love it though. Korg was hilarious.
