Also littered with super teams where only a couple have a realistic chance of winning. If that's what enthuses you then you might as well just watch Serie A and support Juve.

If given the choice I'd watch NBA til the end over NFL though. Just blah.

haha I know and agree. That's why part of me really wants Milan and Inter to reach the highs they used to so it's more exciting.

I love all us sports. Just find the seasons too long and don't really get into them until they're 3/4 done. I guess NFL is very short but I still don't enjoy watching it until the games tend to mean something

That said, there are some things I can't wrap my head sometimes with Yankee sports. If I recall correctly, there's the 18-1 Superbowl. Pats had time for one more play in the 4th down, yet... no one bothered. Everyone was on the field, partying like the Miami Dolphins accomplished something massive (or in this case, avoided it). The players didn't look bothered to even try. I mean, come on, three points down, one last roll of the dice. Are you seriously telling me you're going to let it die like this?

I mean yeah, everyone was on the field celebrating, but the final act of play with 1 second remaining was that it was New York Giants (not the Dolphins) possession. Tom Brady tried a pass with a few seconds left and it got deflected out of bounds, so it was the Giants ball with a second on the clock left. The game did officially end with the play after everyone was cleared off the field


NFL games do have a tendency to end whilst the clock (could be up to 10 seconds remaining) is running down and everyone is either celebrating or walking off the field. But teams don’t just give up when they’re behind by a few points and it’s their possession.

The Patriots and Giants also played off in the 2011 SB. Giants won 21-17 and the final play was of Tom Brady throwing the ball into the end zone that was deflected and the Giants won. In case you were thinking it was that SB.

I think it's overblown to be honest. It doesn't excuse anything, but who hasn't done anything they regret when drunk? And it sounds like all he did was pick the guy up.

Got internet sort of sussed out. Basically I'm after something cheapish that isn't Dodo-esque with their levels of incompetence. Any advice would be much appreciated

Internet is the trickiest thing, and is entirely dependent on where you live as to who gives good service. Good luck!

Yeah he described it like how a groom picks up a bride, and then put him on the bed. The kid then freaked out and left the room. Spacey didn't hold him down, kiss him, touch him, etc. Like obviously it's affected the guy so I don't want to diminish that, but the backlash against spacey seems a bit much, I guess because of the current climate.

I'd read that the 14 year old was alone in the room watching TV and Spacey laid on top of him. Spacey can't remember so who would know really.

The backlash he's receiving was because of the absurd apology he put out yesterday. The actual apology to the guy was ok but to then go on and come out as gay in the same statement, was just really poor.

Spacey's coming out did serve to obscure the allegations against him, at least initially. Reuters tweeted the headline, "Oscar-winning actor Kevin Spacey declares he lives life as a gay man." Outlets like the Daily Beast, PEOPLE, ABC News, and others first fired off headlines with news of Spacey's sexuality before moving on to those pesky charges against him.

In other words, Spacey's media bait was perfectly calibrated, because it was, after all, a rare admission of homosexuality from a member of Hollywood royalty. Even as more celebrities come out than ever before, few A-list movie stars have done the same.

Basically the above. It took away from the incident with the 14 year old kid and made it about the fact he was gay. It's not Spacey's fault the media prefer to report on that but I'd be very surprised if he didn't know what he was doing in that regard.

It seemed pretty closely linked to the allegation and if anything lends credence to it so I thought he was just being transparent.
