I've started a Fulham save. Angel Gomes is godly at Left IF cutting in. Have bought him, Reiss Nelson, Marcus Edwards and Andreas Pereira. Ryan Sessegnon is class too. Top of the league after 15 games.

First FIFA I've played on Tele Broadcast. It's much better viewing but a bit more difficult to judge depth and challenges.

I hear PES is the better game but for me I’ve always been a FIFA player (I buy a new one every couple years). The lack of a fully licensed game for PES has put me off the series.

For future reference, what’s licenced and what isn’t with PES? I am guessing most clubs names are unlicensed and most players names? Has the gap been bridged at all in terms of licenses now we’re in this generation of consoles?

Is very easy to download an option file for PES so team names, leagues and kits are not an issue. PES also has the champions league license which is cool.

Happy to hear 18 is better than 17. Will be buying 2 copies this week(one for me and one for the boy).

Can't you both play on the same copy?

FIFA makes slight improvements every year. The issue for me is they don't really overhaul the Career mode very well. It's not very high on their priorities and that's the main reason why I get the game is do to my own career modes. PES is far better in gameplay and tactics but suffers from lack of licences (which can be easily set up yourself).

Yeah seemingly. Doing the system reset has ****ed my other games though since some of them have small scratches on the disc that meant I could play them, but won't install now. Safe to say I'm pretty filthy about the whole thing.

Thanks man, I’ll keep that in mind in the future. It sounds like PES’ equivalent of MLB The Show fan made rosters (OSFM rosters). Great to hear PES can be turned into a fully licensed game.

Small scratches are easy to fix. My Xbox disc drive ruined my copy of FIFA 14 but I still somehow managed to get it working.
