You will find that a lot of people posting on the Internet are only playing a character. They act differently on the internet to how they would in real life. You might get someone on the Internet who is always involved in arguments but that doesn’t mean that person is anything like that in their day to day life. I am sure the majority of people on here have a lot of compassion for people.

BUT, what would the reaction be if, say, Clementine Ford put out one of her divisive articles, and a teenager - let’s even make it a female teenager - did what eggboy did? Would this kid get all these plaudits?

It truly is turning into a world of controlled viewpoints.

He is on the light side as he has lost a bit of weight but for the most part he is doing much better. His red cell counts were at 25 last Friday and we have another checkup and blood test for him this Friday. The goal is for him to reach 35 over the next few weeks so he can start cutting back on the steroids. There is always the risk that he could relapse if he becomes too active and exhausts too much energy which we will try to avoid. Some days he is quieter than others which might be due to the medication he is on.

Thank you for asking and yes, I agree, he is very loyal.

Yep. Had the identities of the situation changed but the events remained, you would see a lot of people change their stance. Imagine if a near 18 year old who is well known to be controversially outspoken against Islam randomly egged a widely adored female reporter during a live broadcast and she retaliated by slapping him in the face. The kid would be condemned and the woman lauded. Double standards at its finest. That’s why it’s hard to take people on here seriously. They can’t have a balanced view on anything.

Now that I don’t agree with. Anning was a moron with his comments, the kid wanted to make statement and now he has cashed in. Maybe those people can donate to charity if they have so much disposable cash.

Like you say, it’s the hypocrisy of it all that’s nauseating. Apparently there was an attack only a month or so ago in the Philippines by an Islamist terrorist on Christian worshipers. 20 dead, 100 injured. Don't think it barely made the news I wasn’t aware of it. So where was the outpouring of condemnation? There barely was any, just quietly swept under the carpet. There needs to be some kind of honesty in all of this

Yes, that is Carl Benjamin a.k.a. Sargon of Akkad. He is banned on Twitter and PayPal. Steven Crowder and Lauren Chen have been part of a Facebook “deboosting” controversy as exposed by Project Veritas. Jordan Peterson and Dave Rubin have had to set up their own version of PayPal and I believe Peterson has left Facebook and Twitter. Sam Harris is another stepping away from Twitter’s toxicity. Milo Yiannopolous another off the top of my head. Either Tim Pool appearance on Joe Rogan in the last 2 months (one including Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey) would list more. I don’t really follow Twitter, nor a heap more of these guys.

Not surprising, and not really an issue. But they have differing viewpoints to the Liberal left run “woke” media, so they are silenced and branded racists or fascists, or Nazis or something ending in phobe. They are not this though...

The key point is the hiding or suppressing of open discourse leads to fringe areas of the internet that lead to events like last Friday. Living in an echo chamber helps nobody.
