Re-watching Seinfeld. Does anyone else find Kramer super annoying?

One of my favourite characters, loved this show during its run. But I look at Michael Richards differently ever since that racist rant.
If I had to rank the characters I would have:
1. George
2. Jerry
3. Elaine
4. Kramer

I find Kramer too predictable and dumb. He is overly reliant on facial expressions and clumsiness. I’m also not massive on slapstick humour. It gets old real quick. I reckon he should’ve played a smaller role in the show, like Newman.

George owns that show for mine. He has way more substance than Kramer. Probably the best ever character in a sitcom. So relatable at times.

Have you watched Curb Your Enthusiasm. That is a George-centric show...

Finished my rewatch of Deadwood last night. Series was cancelled in 2006 after 3 seasons without a resolution but on May 31st the movie version is coming out with all but 3 actors from the original (2 passed away and 1 was filming something else). So there will be a conclusion to what they started all those years ago. [emoji106]

If I had to rank the characters I would do it in a couple of tiers.

1) George, Elaine, Kramer
2) Jerry

In that order. I found them all very funny but Jerry the least funny of them all. Jerry receiving phone calls from telemarketers was just hilarious, though.

Agreed George is the highlight. I resonate with some of the stuff he does. Especially the being “extremely careful with money”.

The episode where he becomes a hand model is an all time classic.

Imagine being able to relate to George Costanza. Like, “I see so much of him in me”. :p

The missus and I are going through Curb Your Enthusiasm at the moment (she’s never seen it before), and at least 3 times an episode she says “oh my god it’s you” at something Larry does.

It’s not meant to be a compliment but I kinda feel proud about it.

Seinfeld has never grabbed it like it has others.

It's OK, but I never understood the fuss.
Have you watched it recently? I used to hate it when I was younger. Now I appreciate it a lot more.

Also watched GOT S01E01 on Sunday. Is it a bit slow to start off?

Yes, watch the full first season and if it still doesn't grab you then fair enough, but I wasn't hooked until Ep 9.

Not in a few months I guess.

I don't mind it here and there, but people rant and rave about it. I genuinely don't find it as funny as others.

Don't know, didn't watch GOT.

Bodyguard on NF is worth a watch.

Finally watched final two eps of GOT. Man they really rushed the final two seasons. Wasn’t as bad people made out though.

The shows quality dipped a bit when they stopped using material from the books but there are people acting like the final 2 seasons are the worst TV in history. I have read people say they think the show was only good for season 1-4 and yet watched the entire series. It can’t be all that good if they continued watching for 4 seasons. Ridiculous.

Lazy narrative. Season 6 was close to my favourite season and that was after the books.

Plenty of scenes and plots from S1-5 that weren't in the books were great and added a lot of depth.

Absolutely. I found all the seasons great. Some better than others like every series but you can’t really fault GOT as a series.

I think it suffered in that the dialogue that had been written by Martin wasn’t there for the later seasons. That was GOT’s strength, the interactions between the characters, moreso than action set pieces.

Agreed that people say it was horrible yet they probably never saw the Dexter finale!

The lead in The Bodyguard plays a pretty important role in GoT

Some good news to come from that egg boy story is that he donated all of the GoFundMe money he received to the victims of Christchurch. The total was $99,922.36.

I can’t honestly say I would’ve done the same.
